Trigg 22, CC 10. So you were pretty close!! I hate it that you were, but it is what it is...

Have you even made it to the western part of the state? There are some pretty neat stadiums down here also. A few that come to mind are at Mayfields War Memorial Stadium. I think it was built during the works programs of the depression, it is old and neat on Friday Nights. Two others that are newer but neat are the Stadium of Champions, where Hopkinsville and Christian Co. play, and Paducah Tilghman's stadium. If you are ever down this way you should check them out!

2nd&short, we are about 10 hrs from kickoff, so how do you think this game plays out? Pick a score and a winner!! I hope the Rockets can run, therefore they won't have to pass!!! But if Trigg does shut down the run, do you think Trigg wins this game? What do you think the Rockets can force Trigg to do?

I'm just glad to see all the great rivalry games across the Commonwealth! It would be nice if the rest of the U.S.A knew about the many great rivalrys in our state. One note is that some games on paper are not mentioned is due to 2 different counties consolidating their schools. When that happens new mascots are named, new schools are built, etc... but the game continues for almost 100 years under different team names. I remember hearing my Grandparents talking about the Butler High School against Marion High School. The said the entire Thanksgiving week was dedicated to them playing. Now it is Caldwell Co. and Crittenden Co. I'm not trying to compare it to the X/T or the Male/Manual, but is comparison to town populations and the attendence it is really great due to the lack of population in our areas. I know that sounds like I'm being a homer, but just saying that high school rivalrys happen everywhere and they are good for all communities no matter the size.

You could be right on that. I guess we will see Friday night. Do you know anything about how they played against Todd Co.?? Is Todd getting that much better? Or did Trigg have an off night offensively?

That Nov 25 game will be a dandy!! I'm predicting now in August that it will go down as one of the best games between Beechwood and Mayfield!!!

I think this is easily the best game in West KY this weekend. It should be great on both sides of the ball. I see your point Wildcat02 about CC having the mental advantage, but I think HC is thinking that they will be the team that breaks the losing streak. I guess time will tell!!! Either way I'm really looking forward to it!!

The QB and RB look like the real deal! I think they are going to make alot of things happen this year. And I wouldn't be surprised if they are in the rankings very very soon...

Who wins this game and why?

My humble opinion is that if they run the table they will have beaten 2 or 3 best teams of that state. I don't see how anyone can argue that they shouldn't be the national champs....

So did the previous coach from Webster schedule this game last year? If he did, why did he do that? That is a long way to travel for what will probably be a lop sided victory..... And why did Scott take the game? Does that mean they will travel all the way to West KY next year for a game? I still don't understand why either of the two teams did this game.....

Yeah I think your correct. I was really looking forward to see if the Rockets could contain Lucas Crawley this year. He was a pleasure to watch run the football, and last year after the game I got a chance to speak to him and he seems like a great kid. I'm sure Christian Co. was glad to get him.

Well I hope your right on that Sir. I think with the young Rockets this year they just need to take it one game at a time and keep everyone healthy. I think they will handle Hop Central with ease, and hopefully iron out all mistakes they make in that game, since it is their first. The next week at Trigg will be a test. I hear that Trigg looks like a great team, so we will see what happens then. Good luck to your Falcons this year!

Your first sentence brings up a valid point. So to answer that I can tell you that it wasn't done out of necessity. From what I heard it was mutual for the CC/Madisonville N/ and Tilghman programs to make the games happen. Many schools called once they realized that we were able to get the fultons off our schedule.
