  1. You should be able to scroll down and see other clips. If not, I'll try to figure something else out.
  2. Just wanted to post a link to Zach's highlights for those interested in viewing. We are very proud that we have two players on the BGP team, and I think you guys did a great job with the rest of the list. Someone from the other thread said they didn't feel like Zach deserved the honor over another player, but rushing over 2200 yds with 34tds is very impressive. A lot of deserving players out there, and we at Graves are honored to have a couple guys on BGP's team. Zach Katzman - Highlight Videos, Schedule & Roster - Hudl
  3. Madisonville is probably the better team, because Graves is very young this year. I'm pulling for Graves but it will be hard for them to match the playmakers Madville has. As far as their history, it's a little better than FC stated. According to the KHSAA website, Graves has won 6 or more games for the past 6 out of 7 years. They are 4-3 vs PT since 2004, winning four straight from 2006 to 2009 and are 3-4 vs Mayfield since 2004. You are right about Henderson, they have played them close the last two years 2009 was 13-0 and 2010 was 24-17, but they have not beaten them in a while. Not a dominate program by any means, but of course they play a 6A (now 5A) schedule and not 1A or 3A so wins are a little harder to come by than if they played a 1A or 3A schedule. And if I'm not mistaken FC, Graves handed your team one of it's few regular season losses during your run from 2007 - 2009 Not many people know much about Graves so just wanted to throw out some info.
  4. I do admire Trinity and their success, but I don't deny the advantages they have over the public schools. Not that you care what I think, and maybe this is a topic for another forum, but I do believe that the structure of the public school system as a whole holds back it’s athletic programs. It's a socialist system that does not allow its athletic programs, or academic programs for that matter, to excel the way a good private school operating within a capitalist system does. Sorry, I watch too much Glenn Beck
  5. There is no reason that Trinity, or St. X for that matter, shouldn’t be playing a schedule as challenging as the 2011-2012 Shamrock schedule. The advantages of the private schools in KY are obvious and anyone denying them is either blind or in a state of denial. Most of the teams on Trinity's brutal schedule benefit from the same advantages, so now let’s truly see how their “hard work” and "superior coaching" will pay off. Since the reasoning from their supporters has always been that T and X simply out work and out coach everyone else, if at the end of the regular season Trinity finishes 500 or less, will the Trinity faithful believe that those teams that beat them "out worked" or "out coached" them? If they finish 500 or less did they not work as hard in the off season as they have in the past or did Beatty and company forget how to coach? I don't think either will be the case, Trinity works hard and has a great coaching staff, but they will have played a schedule full of teams that are on the same level playing field as Trinity, thus making it difficult to replicate the same success at the regional level that they have experienced at the state level.
  6. Warren Central and Christian Co. will probably have as good of a shot as JH or BG next year. Looking towards the future, depending on who gets the job, Hoptown may be able to compete in a few years. I also think Graves Co. will be a contender in 5A in the next few years, they moved down from 6A. North Hardin also moved down from 6A and will be able to contend in 5a. That will be a tough region coming out of the west. I'm not as sure about EKY 5A, I'm certain they will have some solid teams as well. With Highlands out of the way most top 5A teams can make winning a state championship a realistic goal.
  7. Tim Couch's back up at UK. GA at UK and Baylor under Guy Morris. Took WC job a few years ago and did a good job of building the WC program, they won 9 or 10 games this year. I think he is from Ohio so he may be trying to get closer to home, although I have not heard he was going for the CC job until I read this thread. Great guy and great coach.
  8. 1. Owensboro 2. Bowling Green 3. Christian County 4. Warren Central 5. Lone Oak 6. Ft. Campbell 7. Murray 8. Mayfield 9. Tilghman T10. Graves County/Madisonville North Hopkins
  9. __________________________________________________________ Only one of those transfers was a big contributor to the MS football team. The majority of the Graves 8th grade team that has been so successful will be intact. 30 or so now 9th graders are already participating in June workouts at Graves. The kids that left did so because, “they were cut from the 8th grade basketball team, didn't get enough playing time in baseball, and have been told they will have a shot to win a 1A football state championship”(their exact words). They have been told this by people in the Mayfield community. They believed them and left. Most of the team stayed loyal and will be Graves County Eagles for the next four years. Regardless, Graves County Football will be fine without them.
  10. I didn’t mean to imply that Coach Wolfe was not a great hire for Male. I think Male got a great coach and I hope he implements the wing t as his offense, because I like the offense. You were the one down playing Coach Brown’s success and chalking it up to having more talent than Coach Wolfe ever had. I was just pointing out that in 2005 PRP had a very talented team as did John Hardin and JH won the game convincingly. As far as I know this is the only head to head game between the two coaches. Consider the argument dropped; good luck Coach Wolfe and the Male football program.
  11. _________________________________________________________________ 2005 1st round of 4A playoffs PRP - Ranked in top 5 vs John Hardin Ranked 10 or 11th PRP Head Coach -Chris Wolfe JH Head Coach -Mark Brown PRP OFF - Wing T JH OFF - Wing T Score - JH - 42 PRP - 14 Enough said
  12. John Hardin is 10-0 not 8-2. Good preview!
  13. The only person watering the field was the good Lord. Stop making excuses and give Graves some credit. I know for a fact that the sprinklers never came on this week.
  14. The only time Graves has seen a well oiled machine on offense was in scrimmage action against Owensboro where they gave up a whopping 50 pts. Considering Mayfield can score quickly and in bunches, I like Mayfield to put up somewhere between 40 and 50 again this week. Mayfield is a good team, but you are no Owensboro! Owensboro would pound Mayfield by 3 or 4 TDs.
  15. GREAT JOB JOHN HARDIN!! Coach Brown and the rest of the coaching staff do an excellent job. One of the best coaching staffs in the state. They have very talented players and they know how to use em! Way to go DAWGS!!!!
