Is there a shortage of officials? If so, are the standards for being certified to officiate at the varsity level being lowered in order to have enough officials for all the games? Just wondering? I suppose it is too costly to have an evaluator at every varsity game to evaluate the officials. Do you think that would help increase the quality of officiating?

So why would teams continue to schedule games with this team and be humiliated? Seems to me that if no schools scheduled with them to play....then, that solves the problem.

Yes, I have seen those games where the head coach for the home team keeps the clock/score board. I have also seen that same head coach fudge some on starting the clock timely and it gave the home team an advantage. Not sure if it was intentional, but it sure didn't "look" good.
