Lexington Catholic 74 Scott County 71

Featured Replies

This dosn't suprise me a bit. We played both teams and I knew Lexington Catholic could beat them. I picked Lexington Catholic to come out of the 11th in the contest.

Lexington Catholic has shown all year they can play as a team, move the ball for open looks and play solid defense. Scott County often looks sluggish and plays more of a one-on-one game. This score does not surprise and should hopefully be a wakeup call for Scott County!

The Beckhams combine for 39 pts.

Lexcath has been on a roll lately.

I tried telling everyone in the BGP poll thread that Scott Co wasn't the second best team in the state. This game goes to prove that.

Congrats Knights on the W.

From Kentucky.com:

Lexington Catholic 74 Scott Co. 71

Scott Co. 14 22 15 20 71

Lexington Catholic 7 19 19 29 74

Scott Co. (20-6) -- Euton 22, Jackson 18, Guyn 16, Manning 10, Ivey 4, Schu 1.

Lexington Catholic (20-4) -- S. Beckham 18, Martin 14, J. Beckham 21, Schuette 10, Peurach 8, Proter 2, Floyd 1.

Where was the game played? It's tough to beat Lex Cath at home with the "home cooking" that goes on there. If they won at Scott County then this is a big win. If not then it doesn't mean as much. That's what people will think when you let certain ref's influence games.

The game was at Scott County.

I struggled make a decision on the 12th region, I was going to make Lex Cath the favorite if they won at Scott Co last night, but didnt wait on the results of the game and went with Scott Co. That is a good pick Gold Sunrise! I will ethier win or lose it on some of my other regional picks.

Game was AT SCOTT CO and the Cards led by 14 early in the second half before Lexcath went on a 12-2 run.

Lexcath simply took it to them in the second half and pulled out the W.

GEORGETOWN — If there were any doubts that Lexington Catholic has what it takes to win a third consecutive 11th Region boys' basketball title, they were erased Saturday night.

The No. 5 Knights rallied from a 14-point second-half deficit and beat top-rated Scott County 74-71 in a game that might have been a rehearsal for a regional tournament rematch next month.

Great win for Lex Cath!! This win clearly makes them the favorite to win the 11th for a third year on a row.

Congrats to LC on a great on the road win!
