Realize he was a frosh, but with the premium on scholarships right now I would think waiting for things to shake out would be wise.

Baseball I have found is the one game that everybody knows how to play (tongue in cheek). And unfortunately the ruining of players by parents that have no clue. I am so tired of a kid coming to bat and hearing back elbow up, hands down, step to the pitcher.........by a parent every time the kid gets ready to see a pitch.

Coach Stamm is a Ludlow guy through and through and everything he has coached has turned out for the better. He is a tremendous Panther and always will be....

Interesting comment about the 6th grade basketball program. I guarantee football would never want them to "skip a year". I have seen all the elementary teams playing from Ft. Thomas.......Why would anyone want to skip a year of putting these kids together.......

According to the KHSAA website they play Saturday at noon. How is the SG program? Do these two always play. Seems like a mismatch but I am not familiar enough with the Trains baseball program.

I do not see WW fitting in and eating up a scholarship at this juncture....

I just hope they can bring in a quality coach..........They were finally enjoying some positive press. Which had been hard to come buy the last several years of the Coach Conner regime. Once he lost his assistant he became lost as a coach (I think the guys name was Setter). He has however made great strides to improve all the athletic programs so I hope he can make another great higher and keep this program moving. Anybody know a time table on this???????

What Memphis has to realize is being in Conference USA just does not allow them to throw money and expect it to stick. That money can be matched by "BCS" conferences and brings along the national exposure. Lets face it.......from January through early March Memphis is a non factor on the national scene.

Great comments CD! That is exactly why these programs that allow this can never be successful. YOu must get some sort of consistency and buy in from players. This cannot happen with 6 coaches in 8 years.

This is a great opportunity to see if a kid can give you some quality varsity innings. This is the only way you can find out.

Who are the Tigers looking at? Any body on staff ready for the boys head coaches job?

I cannot agree with Minor as I know for a fact straight from him that he was promised a job as a teacher and it was not delivered.....then was told no coaching job. I did not know that about Wolfzorn so that could very well be true.

I hate they way recruiting has become. You should at least be able to get to your senior year before having to deal with this stuff.

I find it interesting that they took the ad money for athletics but will not allow a scholarship to be awarded...........

Any word yet? I thought they have been really keeping the program going in a good direction. I hope this does not become a huge set back.

I know they make less than a teacher/coach at a public high school would.

Private DIII school with an AD that does not coach anything....salaries are bad........When they brought Coach Ellenwood in they made one full time job AD/head coach and made it two full time jobs. My guess (somewhat educated) is around 30-35 K

With his coaching track record I think the program will continue to make great strides.

Good points about the scheduling. Bad scheduling runs both ways on this one.

And I do feel that Vories and Herald (who has been touted by a few on here) are not the type of coach that can keep Highlands at the top or near the top.
