Shelby Valley 71 Mason County 51
Guard play beat them. Obviously the coaches you spoke to had limited knowledge of GRC other than their ranking. They have no true point guard. Also, how many Mason games have you watched this year? Every major contributor from the 2008 champs is gone and a new group steps right into their shoes and keeps the train rolling. Give credit where credit is due. As far as the 2010 KHSAA tournament goes, I feel the overall talent level was down and possibly as low as it has been in several years. Ballard, Scott County and SV are all good teams, but none of them are teams that we will still be talking about 15 years from now. There just was not that total WOW factor with this years talent pool. Elijah Justice is the only player from this tourney that will still be mentioned or remembered in the future. He is a great one!!!

Mason County/Shelby Valley Predictions
Typical Clark County statement. But go ahead, continue to doubt Mason or even Shelby Valley for that matter. GRC beat Ballard and Mason beat GRC, so Ballard or Scott County winning this tourney is in no way a foregone conclusion. Are they the favorites? Yes, without a doubt. But I guarantee you one thing. The runner-up, regardless of whom it may be, will not be leaving this trophy in the locker room. The real championship will still be played on saturday night, as usual.

Concessions at The Fieldhouse?
Just like the path from Flemingsburg to Winchester. That road is always congested.

Concessions at The Fieldhouse?
Give me a break. St. Patrick is a private school. If you don't pay tuition, then your kid must go to the public institution, which by the way is Mason County. Neal is a D1 football prospect. The last time a looked, St. Pat did not have football team. He would not have stayed there for that reason. You have truely enlightened me on the success of MCHS basketball. I would like to personally think the powerhouse programs of Bracken and Lewis Counties for making the successfully run of the last 10 years possible. Without such great feeder systems and talent pools, Mason would have never hung two banners in the Fieldhouse. lol. :ohbrother:

Read my second paragraph in the post you that you quoted. I totally agree with you on the seating arrangement. I would have had absolutely no problem with sitting on the opposite side of the Fieldhouse. That is where the visiting team belongs. The home team coaching staff should not have had to make such a decision.

I especially loved the Winchester Sun article that called the game, Quote "The Maysville Miracle". They made it sound like the victory was a total fluke and that Mason had just knocked off the 6 or 7 time defending State Champions. Maybe it was the Washington Generals of Maysville finally knocking of the Harlem Globetrotters of Winchester for the first time since 1971. Great stuff.

Mason County 62 Clark County 60
A couple of years ago, during the Mason vs. Clark game in Winchester, a GRC Student hit Russ Middleton with a piece of ice while he was shooting a foul shot late in the game. If the Mason student section actually did these things that they are accused of,then it is totally wrong. But if you live in a glass house, you should not cast stones. If they would have put the GRC student section directly behind the Mason bench, I am sure it would have been no different. I will say one thing, thou. As a Mason fan, if we were considered the visiting team on the scoreboard, then our fan base should have had to sit on the opposite side of the Fieldhouse. I would have had no problem with doing that, especially since I am an old Maysville Bulldog who was used to sitting on that side of the floor, lol. Finally, guys. These are high school students we are talking about. They are going to do immature things. They are kids. What is more immature is us adults arguing over these mundane issues on a blog site. The game is over. Mason won, Clark lost. That is sports. See ya next year. Bring on North Hardin.

Tee Commodore, who played for Mason and also works for UK was also in attendance with Darius and Cousins.

Who would of been 10th Region MVP?
Three titles in three different venues. Mason flat outplayed GRC. Get over it already.

George Rogers Clark / Mason County predictions 3/8
Do you personally know every Mason fan? I don't think so. Although I do refuse to wear red in the house that Rupp built. It just wouldn't seem right. Good luck both teams.

Wow!!! One regional championship in 20 years. The making of a true dynasty.

Scott did a pretty good job of rattling GRC on Saturday. A lack of a true point guard could hurt their offensive flow.

Concessions at The Fieldhouse?
You could always go watch the 9th Regional Tournament and stop the complaining. One less disgruntled fan in the Fieldhouse wouldn't hurt.

Concessions at The Fieldhouse?
You are comparing high school basketball to the concessions at a major league ballgame? Give me a break. Montgomery County's concessions were no better two years ago. This is a high school, not a major chain movie theatre or an NBA franchise with marketing sponsors. This thread is more about disgruntled fans that still feel their teams are not winning Regional titles only because the tournament is at Mason County.

10th Region Draw
Candy, popcorn, pizza, chili dogs, and soda. What more do want from a high school concession stand? Leg of lamb and St. Louis style spareribs maybe? If your that hungry, patronize the local restaurants before the games. I promise you, these are the same items served at mostly all KHSAA high school gyms. Sneak into the Hospitality Room, lol.

10th Region Draw
Your joking right? Add in the inflated price for concessions and the BOKC is way higher than the Fieldhouse. Slightly lower admission plus 4 dollar drinks and 3 dollar popcorn. I'll take the Fieldhouse.

Harrison County Freshmen Win 10th Region Tournament
Freshman tournaments mean very little towards the success of the varsity team over the next four years. The top schools usually have their young talent already playing Varsity and JV. Most of the standout players in this region never even step on the court during a freshman tourney.

How much longer will Reitz be in Cynthiana? He flip flops on retirement more than Brett Favre.

Bourbon County/George Rogers Clark predictions 2/23
All I can say for the Colonels is that baseball and summer track are just around the corner. GRC will take care of business early and rest the big guns for Montgomery.

Mason County 60 Covington Catholic 51
This was a makeup game at 5:30 pm on Valentine's Day weekend. No surprise to me. The same crew of officials called both game of the doubleheader. Also, UK and UT college Game Day probably had something to do with the attendance.

George Rogers Clark/Mason County predictions 2/5
If you are referring to the type of reloading, that I think you are implying, then you need to address that question with the GRC Panthers, I mean Cardinals.
-
George Rogers Clark/Mason County predictions 2/5
Every bodies? What does that mean. Yes, everybody's players graduate, but Mason's teams just continue to reload. GRC is usually a one hit wonder that shows up and wins a Regional championship every 17 to 20 years or so.

George Rogers Clark/Mason County predictions 2/5
No mental hurdle, you say. Your above statement sums up what I'm trying to get across.

George Rogers Clark/Mason County predictions 2/5
And more than half of Mason's team is lost to graduation from the last two years, but we're still in the mix as always.
