Hey, I am not trying to be arrogant with the nickname. When I was signing up I decided to use a new name and asked my six year old son for a suggestion. He is a big wrestling fan and loves HHH. He thought it would be cool to use this as a sign on name. I am sure Gold Sunrise is a nice person. It just upsets me when all Mason County fans are stereotyped due to the actions or comments of a selected few. Hey there is a definite big time rivalry between Mason and Clark, but not all Mason fans are jerks. Sorry if a struck a bad nerve.

My thoughts exactly. I attend every Mason game possible, road games and away. But when it comes to State Tourney time, you will see Mason fans that have not attended a game all year, but are sitting in the premium pep section seats. This should be about the basketball players and students, no alumni and faculty.

She took a stab at Mason fans, so I took a stab back. Also, I was a member of BGP several years ago, just rejoined.

The Mason County students are at the games. It has more to do with how the tickets are distributed. I have been to all the Mason County games at Rupp over the last 9 trips. I can tell you from experience as a Mason County graduate that the students do no get all the best seats for Rupp. Most schools allow the students to take up many of the front rows of the Pep section, but not at Mason County. Several years I and many other students had to set in the Upper arena for the opening round game.

The only thing that this particular argument justifies is for the KHSAA to move to a class system of basketball. I know that none of the members of this Blog or any fans of Kentucky High School Basketball want that to happen. Under the current system, Mason County should not be punished for being surrounded by Class "A" enrollment school systems. Also, the last time I looked, Mason County had a Mid Level 3A enrollment. Everyone jumps to put them in the same enrollment class as Dunbar, Campbell County and Trinity. Please do not feed fuel to the Class System of basketball, it is excellent the way that it is.

I totally disagree. Scott County was supposed to be loaded this year. One player, even as great as Phares, should not make a team. A championship caliber team would have rallied around an injured teammate and gained focus. Scott County was still loaded without Phares. Lets also not forget that Vee Sanford and a talented Lexington Catholic team also had something to do with this scenario. They took Scott County to the wire with a healthy Phares.

Thank you for the Link. I was able to find some grainy video footage from You Tube. Sort of a highlight reel from the All "A" Classic. The Justice kid appears to be the real deal. It will be exciting to see Mason and Valley duke it out in the full court. I predict a high scoring game in the 80's. I am Royal at heart, but good luck to both teams.

One play that stands out for me is the Nathan Myrick timeout at the end of the St. Henry first round game in 2003. Should this have been a traveling violation? Maybe. But in the end, I feel this play was the catalyst that was responsible for waking up a Sleeping Giant in Royals that year. Oh, I forgot, Lofton in the finals was also unforgettable.

Good plays, maybe, but we all know the outcomes of those particular games. Mason County Royal Victories!!! :banana:

Can anyone give me a Link to Shelby Valley's complete Basketball roster. Also, if there is a Link to some highlight footage from this season.

Elliot County is a great basketball team, but there is one problem. This team does not have a deep enough bench to survive 4 games in 4 days. If good shooters do not have their legs under them, then their shot is greatly affected. I for one would love to see Elliot cut down the nets. I just think that bench play and fresh legs are crucial in advancing and winning the hardware on Saturday Night.
