Awesome game tonight in Rowan County, teams looked evenly matched. The Calloways and Foster had nice games for Holmes. Have to ask any Rowan County fans, is it normal to never punt, at least 4 times Rowan had 4 th and 10 or more yards, twice on Holmes side of field and didn't punt, just curious. Congrats to Holmes on a district road win and best of,luck to the Vickings.

The Calloway brothers from Holmes are having an outstanding year in football and should get some love in basketball as well.

I agree, with Parker Fields, no one plays with more passion than this young man,he has improved each year and should have an outstanding year for Boone County, really enjoy watching him play.

Holmes is not that large school that most people seem to remember, I graduated there in the 70s and had over 400 in my class alone,this years class graduated around 140. Holmes has traditionally been a basketball school threw the years. I do,like this years team, they have some size for a change, hopefully the qb will return this week or next and they can get on track. Holmes has 41 players on their roster and only 4 seniors I believe, so they cold continue to get better. I also made a comment about the crowd, Boone side was full and for a road, non rival game,Holmes had a nice crowd. Wish Boone the best and hope they get their storied program back on track, and win or loose , I will be rooting for my Bulldogs. Hope both teams stay injury free.

Scott High has the best chili, we always play them late in the year, and a bowl of there chilli hits the spot.

As a former khsaa baseball/softball umpire, this is one rule that is stressed to the max. Thunder or lighting seen or heard,30 minute delay, if ten minutes into the first 30, clock starts over, that is the reason so many games gets canceled, it can become very late before it stops.
