Cooper would have beaten Beechwood today. Give me both teams on equal rest, ace vs ace. I'll take Beechwood. Both aces are very good, but there are more hitters in the Tiger lineup.

If I assured my winning season via 2 forfeits I would rather have a losing season.

I sincerely doubt that Beechwood was afraid to play. Beechwood just came off of a tournament in which they played 3 games in 2 days, and are in the Coach Connor Classic this weekend where they could very well do the same thing. It comes down to arms, and not putting to many pitches on a young arm. Especially their young arms being sophomores, and still so much growing to do in those small muscles, etc. Beechwood in the past (with Meyerhoff) were sometimes accused of over throwing pitchers in hopes of a victory (I don't believe this, but it was the talk of NKY more than once). Now Mullins cancels, and protects some arms only to be called scared to play etc. Sometimes in coaching you just can't win.

This game is at 5:00 at Bellevue. It is a huge district seed game, and conference game for the Tigers! I recently heard rumor that Brockman may have been missing some time with the Devils due to injury. Anyone have any insight to this? That could be a huge factor in this game.

I believe that is Dylan Vogt. You are correct. If he develops more of an off-speed pitch he will be tough as he gets older.

Bellevue and Conner will play at 5:00 on May 12th at Bellevue.

Game is at Bellevue at 5:00. With the recent rain both teams will have the availability to roll their ace if they so choose. Bellevue comes in with a 1-0 record in the conference after defeating Ludlow, and Villa with a 2-0 record with their wins over Dayton and Calvary Christian. Bellevue beat Villa 12-0 earlier in the season. What are your thoughts on tonight's match-up between these two?

Baseball is a crazy simple game. It's amazing what a win or two, and a little confidence will do. It's always fun to watch a baseball team come together. Great to hear that about the Indians JV team!!

What's up with Holy Cross' JV? They've beaten Highlands, and St. Henry now. Both respectable programs with decent JV teams. Early in the year they were taking run rules from Ludlow, and some others. Are some varsity guys playing down? Do they have a stud pitcher? What's up over there?

Seiter is tough as nails. Changes speeds, changes eye level, etc. He will be Bellevue's big game pitcher for the next two years. He backs down from no one. His expereince likely helps a bit as he was a 6th grader at Silver Grove throwing district seed games against Campbell Co. and other big schools.

Great kid who deserves to play at the next level. I heard will be playing CF in college, which makes sense. The kid can FLY!

JV tournament starts May 10th. Matchups are decided via a draw at the next coaches meeting.

They did play CovCath, and Boone as well. Seiter pitched the first 5 innings of the CovCath game. It was 5-4 at the time of his exit.

I'm sure that number climbed a bit with a 19 run performance against Tates Creek. Great game to gauge where you are as a program for the Bluebirds, but never fun to take a thumping like that.

Anytime you have a Ricky Raisor, throwing 84 mph, strictly on your JV team, I think your varsity staff is okay. haha

Bellevue is often forgotten about being the small river school that they are. They have a team ERA of 3.59. This is while playing a serious schedule. The tigers have played: Gahanna Lincoln (Columbus, OH) who had at least 4 college recruits on the roster. Including an Oakland University, and UK signee. NCC (2 Times) Louisville Butler West Jessamine (#4 in the state) Anderson High (ranked in the state of OH) Simon Kenton I'm by no means saying they are the best pitching staff, but if we are going to go plural and discuss staffs. Then the tigers certainly deserve some recognition. I would be confident in their #1 (Briley Seiter) and #2 (Brian Dill) against just about any lineup in Nothern Kentucky. Some of the biggest schools in NKY haven't played nearly the schedule that they have.

Bellevue is coming off one of the bigger wins in program history last night against NCC. Ludlow has turned some heads with the best start the program has had in anyone's recent memory. Who prevails tonight, and why?

Very much deserved for Mr. Sanders. He would have reached 100 years ago if he scheduled like other coaches at the smallest schools in NKY do. Plays a murderous schedule each year, and worries about player progress rather than a record. It showed tonight in a very well played game against NCC.

Bellevue wins 4-2. Seiter was a stud on the mound in a complete game effort. Brian Dill homered for the deciding run, and Casey Fitch robbed a homerun in the 2nd inning for the Tigers.

Get the chatter started. This district seed game is at 5:00 at Bellevue on Monday. NCC brings a winning tradition in these games, and Bellevue brings a lot of experience against very good competition thus far in their schedule. The game should be one of the best and biggest seed games in the district this year. Is this the year the Tigers take the big step to overcome NCC?

I'm not sure of a published list anywhere, but I know Bellevue and Lloyd play there on April 9th.

#18 (Logan Brewer) did indeed play. What the others fail to mention is he was at 50% to START the game, and like any other injury in cold weather it deteriorated throughout the game. As you said, he would not have made a 50 point swing. I would like to see the game with him at 100% though. He is so hard nosed he changes the entire mentality of the Dayton offense.
