Yes they are the 2nd best team in the district. But it's pretty much even. Holy Cross, CovCath and Beechwood can all beat each other on any given night IMO. And yes, a win is a win lol. Wish you would use that mentality when it comes to your own team!

I know. That push pass kills us. And trust me I know what youre talking about with some of the upperclassmen and I know which ones they are and have heard it as well. They need to get over it, and actually one of the kids usually plays like a minute now so I'm thinking some other people got sick of it too. Also wanted to comment on the JV game. Drew Baker had a real nice game for them, and I still like Reidinger a lot at guard!

ETA, I think everyone knows that Holmes is BY FAR the best team in the 9th and the solid number one in the state. So why do you insist on making it so that your team is soo dominant after every game. From the scores you sent me after each quarter, YES obviously Holmes was the better team, but it wasn't as lopsided as youre trying to make it. HC can beat Beechwood and CovCath. Covcath can beat HC and Beechwood. Beechwood can beat HC and CovCath. It's pretty much not much of a difference in the three. Beechwood has a bit of an edge that is about it. I think it will be Beechwood and CovCath again at the end of all this, but don't count HC out!

It isn't the upperclassmen necessarily. It is usually TWO kids who make a scene when they get taken off the floor regardless of whether it be another upperclassmen or it could be a freshmen. Either way they are going to throw a little fit. And one of the kids who used to make a little scene actually hasnt been doing too bad with it lately lol. Still, youre right, they need to play as a team..it's been a problem the whole year.

Maschinot will be fine. He just needs to stop with the one handed push pass. That is where his turnovers come from, and one was from just a bad decision to pass it inside on good coverage. The answer is NOT getting Maile more touches. That is just laughable. The kid has the ball the entire game, and half the time he sees a man on his team open and either completely disregards it and takes a shot, or drives right into his own man. He is lucky his shots fall, cause if not everyone would be singing a totally different tune about the way he has issues with passing. It would benefit him, and probably cause him to get more points [and it has in the past] if he would pass it off more. I've heard many times people yelling for him to just give the ball up. He IS our scoring threat, but it doesnt help anyone else be a scoring threat when one player has the ball the entire game. Listerman isn't trying to find his top 5 still. He knows who they are. He just doesn't make smart substitutions. Sometimes he misses mismatches on the court completely. Everytime he goes deep into his bench, they struggle. Playing his top 7 or 8 is his answer. And Beechwood is good, don't get me wrong, but ETA you're acting like they are the hot mama jama..lol. Holy Cross has a shot and CovCath has a shot at beating them if they meet again. They only beat CovCath by 5, and admittedly CovCath isn't even in the top 10 AND had a bad night.

lol no I agree and understand. I think it could go either way to be honest, depending on how bad CovCath plays that night. I just think Beechwood and Covcath might have a chance for a rematch.

The team that deserved to win, won tonight. They played as a team, and I was impressed with Romes. Also hats off to Pohlgeers for sealing the deal at the end. That's some pressure. Beechwood flat out won this game and they deserved to. CovCath, well what is there to say? I guess if I look at it from a positive perspective, they played pretty ugly and still managed to make a 5 point ball game out of it, admittedly it was not always that close throughout though. This team needs to find a way to play as a team. 4 times in a row, Covcath threw the ball away on their posession, I believe in the first or second quarter. Doing that will never win ball games. The stand around offense and then throwing up shots thing is a bit tired as well. Need to start moving and USING picks instead of acting like youre making them. And the substitutions tonight were..questionable to say the least. This team needs to learn to play as ONE as opposed to a bunch of individuals or this next month and some change is going to be a loooong one. That all being said, I have a feeling Beechwood and CovCath will meet again later on in the season Congrats to Beechwood!

NCC is not returning the top pitcher in the region. Arguably, from what scouts have said, Isler from CCH and Smith from Beechwood are 1 and 2 in NKY. Not to mention CovCath has Nutini as well. NCC does have a good offense, but ill take CCH's offense any day. The boys HAVE improved since their sophmore year. They were just very talented as sophmores and continue to be as seniors which is why no one sees such vast improvement. I think it will come down to NCC and CovCath again, and it should...but CovCath will pull it out.

It's going to be NCC or CovCath for the 9th, more towards CovCath. Three years in a row in the region championship, I think these seniors are finally going to get it done.

I don't think anyone knew CCH had tickets, or they may not have gotten them til very late. I asked my brother [on the team] to buy me a ticket and he couldnt earlier in the week. They got their two. Then today I read where Clyde said Bwood had some left, so I was going to head that way but my dad called and said he got a couple from CCH.

The first situation is totally different. Getting there early [as I plan on doing] to get a ticket, is just luck of the draw. Selling only to your school is just cheap. I don't know how the tickets were divided up, though from what I've heard, it was all Beechwood with each CCH player basically getting their parents to come. And it could be that everything that I and others have heard about it being sold out isnt true. As for the Highlands deal? Don't know anything about it. I don't blame Beechwood for doing presale at all. I think it would be very low if they didn't give CCH tickets as well for some of their fans.

Right, so both schools should get to have fans there lol..not just one. Now who knows if that is even the case. Only giving 2 tickets per player, and then allotting the rest to your fans is kind of low.

Yeah I mean I'm getting there early tomorrow anyways, and I will be quite upset if I can't get in. lol. Especially if the case is that Beechwood sold all the tickets presale to their students and fans. Don't know if that is the case, but man if it is, :(.

Yeah, my brother plays for CovCath and I asked him to get me a ticket an dhe was told there is no way, that each player only got two tickets. Then I heard that Beechwood was selling presale tickets to their students and stuff. Won't be very cool if thats the truth and this game is already sold out before I even get there at 5.

I'll be pretty disappointed if each CCH kid got 2 tickets and Beechwood got all the rest. Understand it's a home game, but that is unbelievable. And Yeah I plan on getting there early.
