They may have something to do with the fact that Monroe will not have to play the beast South because of them moving down to 2a. And them moving up. BUT....Monroe DID schedule BG first game next year and not BG's "little" brother... Just saying!!!

I think South will be to much for the Blue Tornado. Honestly they have the best defense I have seen in 3a in a long time. They are pressure addicts...swarming the backfield Allowing no or little time for decisions. Should be a really good low scoring game. If pt scores 28 they win. I don think they can on this defense though. South will have to settle the penalties down and hold onto the football. South 21 PT 13

I would love to see Adair win but they can not beat south! PT has a legit shot at beating them if all their starters play...

Starters it not they played a good game...I believe they could have played there 8th grade against Monroe because we played mostly underclassmen. We have 14 not dressed because of season ending injuries. And PT only had 32-35 dressed. So if that is there team they are very tough!!! No worries from Monroe, we are rooting for them if they beat Adair! Adair is playing in their first second round in school history. So I am kinda hoping they do well, but they will NOT beat South Warren. So PT is the team to put the Sleeping Giant back to Bed! I can't in good conscience root for a bigger school that has been allowed to play down...our district or not!

They did not show anything against us because they did not need to. It's my understanding that they sat a few starters out also.

I apologize for seeming like a chip. Honestly I think a lot of PT. Great program, wonderful facilities, and very good Fans. I was just expecting a 60-0 nothing at half. I am completely for a true 3a PT to give a very chipy south all they want and more. I hope the best for your program the rest of the year!

I hate to see all the inner turmoil in Central. When it starts at the top and bleeds down you have to be disgusted at the staff for allowing it. South will slowly get the kids from Central and with the money being put into that program it may be the demise of a very good Dragon program. Just hate to see it...

According to the warren central thread it was a huge upset for central tonight. I would say with the current coaching situation though it's going to be an interesting off season for the Dragons!

Pt was no where near as good as all of us expected. Adair should give them a good game but no matter Sourh Warren destroys them...I will say PT has the linemen figured out with lean quickness not like Monroe's big slow and no aggression line. I know of a few of these kids that would not play for a championship coaching staff. This season the Falcons have struggled with injury, grit, and lack of focus and discipline...from the top to the bottom. I hope to see a huge change from many different aspects of this game next year! Now it's time to hit the weight room and for Monroe to hire a strength and agility coach. Not to mention a secondary coach, linebacker coach, ect... 2a here we come back!

If Adair Goes to play they can beat the Blue Tornado! Either way it's a good season for the Indians...neither team gets by South Warren for regional title. Good Luck Adair...we are rooting for you guys here in Monroe!!!

Monroe has first losing season since 2007. They went 2-8 that season as well and returned for semi-state run the next year

Monroe has 14 kids out for season. Lost Qb for a week or two at south last week. Ok let me break it down a little... Rb torn acl/mcl/ meniscus Fb broken ankle Wr knee surgery 2-Ol one broke wrist, one torn acl Defensive end with broke tibia 6 Jv players out with season ending injuries Two freshman out for season or longer Have fr starting Qb, rb, two recievers. Three sophomores starting and rest juniors Only two seniors on field. One in each side of ball! Injury bug has went all the way down to little league with broken arms, leg and collar bones. OUCH!!!!!!

The only thing anyone from Monroe is saying tonight is "when is it going to be over this season"! Two weeks at the beat down the Blue Tornado is going to give our youngest Falcons! We are just praying for no more injuries and a good off season to heal and grow! Look out 2a here we come back!

What scares the poop out of me and the rest of our county is opening our season with this power house team at wku next fall. Bg is another step towards the next level for our kids. IMHO they ARE they best team in the state!

I would love to see this happen. South is very physical and aggressive. Those kids want to hit, and swarm the football. They have kids that are just hungry to play this game we all love. We were on the receiving end of an old fashion butt whipping, so I have seen this aggressiveness first hand! Speed and the ability to throw short fast passes will be their demise. Other than that they are fundamentally sound. IMO South wins...

Very well said...I am a proud Monroe Fan and parent, but I know when I am in the wrong and I usually never post negative on boards. I think the pressures of this season and huge amounts of injuries have led to a fan meltdown. I know I am in that place and everyone around me seems to be the same.

No don't get me wrong...South Warren is a very good football team! Monroe is not because of things unknown to us and injuries. No excuses for the loss, even a healthy Monroe could not beat South this year, but there are those teams you play that just bring out the worst in even a good kid...South has been our team! Just glad it's over!!!!!

FYI...that was the Monroe JV..they have 14 kids out for season! Arnette and Rich are only skilled offense that is starters. The receiver core are freshman. I am just calling it like I seen it. No love between these two programs and the no call for out of bounds...he drove him nearly to the bench where we had a clean view! The pooch kick was not a problem for I understand SW has a really good kicker. I am glad this will be our last time dealing with South. The chain gang even apologized for South's dirty play and dropped the sticks where another group took over...after the cheap suplex on Arnette! Watch it again and see if he jumped....no he did not!

Absolutely...Teams like PT seem to start slow, and not to mention hard schedule, and turn it on late. Then there are those that everyone says they are going all the way get shut down before or at region!

Doubletake1906 saw something in these young men that the rest of the state was trying to turn a blind eye to. Darkness was the face of the deep and the spirit of God moved across the face of the waters and God said "let their be light" and there was light I do believe the Light has been shined down on the Spartans of South Warren...:eek::up:

PT may show up in Region. If South faces a team that can slow up the Defense and throw a little that may be their weakness. But seeing them it will take a really good line to do that. Semi would be my guess
