Last year this was an epic battle coming down to a last second field goal attempt by South that missed wide left. This years South team is undefeated against a very suspect schedule but ranked #1 in 3A. PT has played a brutal schedule and lost a lot to graduation and are small and don't have but 32 dressed and a new coach and a new system. Should be a tough game for PT to pull out on the road. What say you?

It will definitely be a tall order, but l am not ready to count this young Tornado group out, because I believe we have yet to play our best ball.

If we were playing at the level we are now at the first of the season, I believe we would have won at least 3 more games.

I was telling some in the crowd last night that if we were playing at this level game 1, McCracken game is much closer. Football is about match ups. I don't know much about SW but what is their secondary like? I know the strength of the D is the front seven. How is the O line?

About four weeks ago, no one was expecting this one to even be close, if indeed it even happened.

Now PT has earned some respect in their district and playoff showings by clicking at the right time. Their non-district schedule has prepared them for battles.

The offense has shown some definite firepower, but will the small line and defense be able to holdup against the SW size advantage? That will be the key to this game. If PT can handle the LOS their offense will be the difference maker.

I'll keep faith in PT to win a close one, looking forward to a potentially great game on Friday night.

PT won't score 35 running the football.

BTW, just looked at the stats filed on KHSAA. Odd to see that Rogers is throwing more with this PT than any of the past teams he had at Warren Central.

Necessity of a small line IMHO.

PT simply doesn't have the size or the depth of bodies to try to get into a meat grinder game for 4 Quarters. Balance helps.. and when you have speed outside like PT it is not a bad idea to try and use that speed in the passing game.

will be hard for any 3A team to pull out a win vs a 5a school in the playoffs.. I know PT did last year, but PT had more horses a season ago..

Excuses excuses.

I'm sure you were griping a few years ago when Mercer Co. won 2A. SW is simply playing the hand they were dealt.

Write the KHSAA if you feel it's so unfair.
