If Belfry played South Warren this week, with current rosters & injuries, who would win?

Granted I haven't seen either team play, but the unimpressive win for Belfry over Lawrence County on Friday tells me South Warren would win, RIGHT NOW.

I think South has more to worry about when playing Central and Tilghman than they do a Belfry. Belfry, while skilled, is probably very similar to South (I haven't seen Belfry other than on Hudl highlights this year). They're physical, good up front, and possess nice, but not game-breaking speed. That's pretty much what South is. When South plays PT and Central they'll, for the first time this year, face real speed all over the field. That's the unknown of how they'll do against.

As mentioned in the other thread... I think Belfry would be maybe the #5 team in 3A looking only at a framed snapshot of this week. I think south Warren would beat them, so to would Corbin, Garrard County, and Central.

 

Belfry's offensive backfield and defensive secondary is essentially a skeleton crew right now.

I am surprised Belfry is leading this poll.

I would love to see this happen. South is very physical and aggressive. Those kids want to hit, and swarm the football. They have kids that are just hungry to play this game we all love. We were on the receiving end of an old fashion butt whipping, so I have seen this aggressiveness first hand! Speed and the ability to throw short fast passes will be their demise. Other than that they are fundamentally sound. IMO South wins...
