  1. Please!!!!!!! Whatever "players" are saying that need to wake up. I doubt many teams are hesitant to play Bellevue for fear of their style of play:rolleyes:
  2. Don't know specific dates, but I was told there are 3 boys divisions and 3 girls divisions 6th, 7th, and 8th and that numerous days from Mid Dec to End Dec are blocked off for the tourney
  3. One of the biggest problems with this tourney is that it is so early that many teams are unable to compete if they have FB players (especially the small schools.....Bellevue-dayton etc.) I know Dayton played last year, but simply was unable to provide enough players this year this early. Seems to be a bit of a catch 22 for lots of schools, as these tourneys are good $ makers, but there's limited gym time once the HS season starts, so it's play 'em early or play 'em late. On a side note, I was told that Coach Dilts at Dayton is reviving the Dayton Middle School Holiday tourney he started several years ago. I hear that it had a brief stoppage last year when the former girls coach "dropped the ball". That tourney has proven to be a good tourney in years past with good competition, good awards, and good hospitality.
  4. Great in terms of talent, tradition and facilities.... The arguements that you will hear against it are things like CC mentioned. There are things that you have to "put up with" at Holmes. Also, the fan base isn't overwhelming, and from what I hear, the $$$ aspect isn't good...
  5. NewCath and Highlands both have 2 big things working against them in this arguement. They both have tiny gyms and both will always play second fiddle to the football programs...
  6. Aside from the space issue, I would venture to say that the Dayton field overall is equal to, or superior to many in N.Ky. And since you aren't happy with our stadium, donations to 200 Greendevil Lane. I'm sure there are many things people could say about Scott's school, facilities etc., but the majority of these fine posters have far more class than that!
  7. I'd like to say Holmes... but they haven't been the same since they lost Charley Riley...
  8. Yes... Literally.... 10/9/2008 7:00 PM @ Dixie Heights L 45-0 10/17/2008 7:30 PM @ Campbell County L 41-0 10/25/2008 1:00 PM @ Covington Catholic L 42-0
  9. A very good coach of mine once told me that if any of us were to ever coach, to know that there is a point in games when you pull your starters and concede the victory...
  10. Impressive arguement FC...
  11. Holmes hasn't scored in 3 weeks...
  12. That was ridiculous. They were on the opposite 30 yard line when the white hat stopped play and walked 50 yards in the opposite direction to tell the cheerleaders to move a foot...
  13. Dayton sent in their 2's and BB left in their 1's and scored two TD's. So Deaton put his 1's back in, scored on an 80 yard run, then put the 2's back in. I believe BB put their 2's in for the last series of the game. It also appeared to me that BB had as many or more players as Dayton.
  14. Interesting there is so many complaints this year about it. I believe that they have always been there. The cheerleaders moved to the other side of the 50 and past the 25 so that they pretty much cheer to a hill. The band wasn't even there last night. Too much of a deal is made out of that. I find it interesting that this year there is so many complaints about Dayton's band/cheerleaders etc. when they are doing the same thing that they have done forever...
  15. Are you kiddin' me? They had their 2's (and some freshmen) in the entire fourth quarter on D and were rotating guys on the O. Brossart cut the lead to 44 ta 21 so Dayton put in their 1's, scored on an 80 yard run, then the freshmen were back in. What was lack of class was the Brossart coaching staff complaining to officials about the cheerleaders having a foot in the coaches box and instead of asking them to move making the white hat tell them... Just ask them to move next time.
  16. Did what his usual. Led the offense. I believe it was something like 3 or 4 TD's Passing, and 1 rushing. Some of the passes he was making on the run, particularly in their 2 minute drive at the end of the first half. I mean he was on a full sprint and would let one fly that were hitting the receivers in the numbers...
  17. He's got one of the best in the conference to start with in the St. Blanchard kid...
  18. In that case you can still be a Dayton fan, because dude is definately not one. I agree that no one has any rights to smack talk in this one.
  19. Really? Is that because they can't? Or because they don't want to? And who says it has to be DI to be successful? Is the Bankemper kid from last year playing anywhere? No, but that isn't because he wasn't wanted. I know for a fact that at least two Beechwood players that graduated last season are playing college football, one being a walk on, the other significantly playing at a smaller school. Another is playing baseball somewhere. Those kids could be playing if they chose to...
  20. Dayton will win but he won't get enough carries to put up that much yardage. They split carries and throw the ball a lot remember...
  21. Early in the season I thought that Holmes could challenge in this game, but if their QB is out it will be really tough. No offense last week @ Campbell...
  22. Are you saying the kids in the other NKY class A schools don't work hard?
