Yeah, it was a late hit, gave Boyle a first down, then they drove down for the score before halftime. I haven't talked to her in a couple days. I miss cheering the Bears on with all the Mommy Bears on Friday nights...don't know what I'll do until next year, lol.

Stupid penalty cost Bell 7...bet someone's getting their little hiney chewed.

Thanks for answering my question guys. Ok, not to nit-pick here, but as far as the jersey goes - does that mean the inside back or collar of the jersey...or the jersey period? #1. On the first one called on us, our player grabbed the back of the jersey in the middle of his back, probably between the shoulder blades or a tad lower...NOT the collar or the jersey or the undergear/shoulder pads at all...just the jersey. #2. On the other one, our player did grab the back collar of the jersey with his left hand and the "sleeve" of the shoulder pad that hangs over the arm and pulled him down. My son was the one that did this one and I got him to show me exactly where he grabbed the other player. With the rule stated above, I would now agree with this one being a horse collar because he did pull the collar of the jersey, but what about scenario #1?

I would like for one of you to explain the horse collar penalty please. There were three called last night in our game against Letcher Co. Central, two on us and one on them. I really in all honesty did not see the one called on LCC, so I cannot comment on it. I did see the two called on the Bears as they were right on the sideline where I was sitting. Anyone...:confused:

Harlan County and Letcher County Central is a rematch. HC beat LCC last time 12 to 7. The Bears travel to Letcher for the game this Friday. Bears all the way!!!

I'm so proud of all these boys! The defense was awesome again. They were in the backfield after that QB all night long...he didn't know what to do, except throw it away I don't know how many times and got a few intentional grounding calls. :ylsuper: Again, awesome job Black Bears - Keep it up and let's get those Cougars this Friday night!!! :dancingpa

That is Jamie Ball. I think he was hurt and didn't play much, if at all, during that first game. Jamie flat out lays the hammer down when he's in the zone. :ylsuper:

I haven't heard that the game has been cancelled. My Bear brought his jersey home from practice to wear to school tomorrow on game day. I think the boys are pumped for this game and want to win. They have confidence in themselves now and a winning attitude, and I know they can do it! GO BEARS!!! :banana:
