In yesterday's Harlan Daily Enterprise the Somerset coach said "we played the Gilliam kid (one of our running backs) and Blanton (our quarterback) and those kids from Cumberland"...so evidently they have played more of our boys than just the ones originally from Cawood. I think our boys want this game badly. :fight: On that note, GOOD LUCK TONIGHT BEARS!!! Bring us back a win; we know you can and will. :dancingpa:dancingpa:

Anybody feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but we are the #3 seed in our district and I don't think it is confirmed yet which of the teams we play in your district. I think it still depends on how the rest of the games finish out. That being said, I'm taking the Black Bears to bring us a big "W" back to Harlan County to finish out the regular season. After having seen the Bears play both of these teams, I would have to go with M'boro, even though I would love to see LC pull it out.

There is isn't any chatter about this game since we are playing a Virginia team, but I still wanted to give a shout out to the Bears and wish them good luck for tonight. Show 'em how it's done in Kentucky. GO BEARS!!! :banana::banana::banana:

Hart Co. and Taylor Co. play tonight....Bear fans this is of interest to us because depending on how Somerset's and Taylor County's games go, it affects us and who we play with that 3-way tie they have going on in their district as of now.

I totally agree....some Estill Co. fans and others seemed ASTONISHED that we almost beat them and the score was so close (and we LET them score that last one). I think a lot of people are overlooking us just because of the Breathitt Co. game and you cannot gauge our boys on that one game. They did not show up to play that night. I think the Bears have a lot left to do this year too.

There is a thread on here called "Class 3A Playoff Matchups" and it explains it pretty well, but who we play is still not set in stone the way I am understanding it.

I thought you meant fans in general had jumped ship...I didn't realize you meant posters on this website. I'm not surprised if people have quit posting....I've thought about it a couple times myself, but I'm still here. There is a LOT (not ALL) of posters on here who seem to have almost a grudge or something against our boys because of the 3A versus 5A ordeal. The boys can't help it and neither can we. We've been doing the best we can with the cards we have to play and that's all we can do. GO BEARS!!! :dancingpa

You don't say....yes, I know rain is part of the game. It's just a TAD BIT disapppointing that with us only having 3 home games anyways, and 2 of them being VERY important district games, against 2 of the best teams out of the district, it has practically monsooned (is that a word) during both of them. And, yes, we did have a 400+ yard rusher last week against M'boro, and again, the stinkin rain slows backs like him down. So, yes I'm a hair peeved about the rain!!! Not, taking anything away from Estill Co.; they played a very tough game, props to them, I just think it would have went our way if it hadn't poured buckets all night long. P.S. We can't wait to play Bell next year either....don't think we aren't...so bring it on. :ylsuper:

Noone has left the Bear's train, and our boys are improving with every game they play. We have an awesome coach and coaching staff, and a bunch of boys with the fire to only keep improving....better look out for Harlan Co. in the weeks to come. Congrats to Estill Co. Dang rain!!! I am VERY proud of our Bears and will continue to be. Keep your heads up Bears and Bear Nation. We are moving on from last night and learning from it. Let's focus on next Friday's game and travel to Grayson Co., Virginia Bear Nation. :banana::banana::banana:

The Harlan Co. Black Bear freshman get another crack at Letcher Co. Central...Get 'em little Bears! I think this is the only team that has beaten our Frosh Bears.
