Ashland will win this game, easily.

This is my concern for the Polar Bears.....you consider a win over Bath Co as a quality win. Bath Co. was blown out in the grid @ Raceland (vs Raceland) and Fairview defeated them 46-6 as well. No one in our area considers Bath County as a strong team. Last week, Nicholas defeated Bath Co. 20-12. I just don't know if Bracken's district is strong enough to play with ours. I guess we will see in 2 days. Trust me, I mean no disrespect with this post. Raceland fans never underestimate their opponents and almost NEVER pull for Fairview. LOL This is just me looking at the schedules and results plus hearing people discuss which wins were "quality" wins.

I think Raceland gets back on track this week. I don't like losing but I think the past 2 weeks definitely have our focus reset and ready for a playoff run.

Congrats to the Devils. Great game. I hate to lose but that was a great one to be involved.

This is going to be a good one! I think it will be a battle of 2 very good defenses. The team that figures out how to break the other's down will win. I think field position and turnovers will determine the outcome.

Great game to be a part of. Emotions were high and the majority of the penalties were unsportsmanlike penalties. Paintsville defensive backs held several times, so I'm not sure that they were "homered" by the officials. I believe this was the first game we didn't lead in penalty and penalty yards. I sure hope that 27 days from now, there is a rematch in Paintsville.

Fans from surrounding teams are contacting us about parking and calling our fans for rides, etc. Like Ram said, it should be a great atmosphere.

I think the Governor talk is about today not at the game tomorrow night. He is supposed to be at the school today at 1:30pm.

And this is a very good assessment. I would argue that Ashland is better than Pikeville but that would be a wash..... I stand by my earlier statement that this is just the first of 2 games between the 2 teams. All this game will do is decide where the rematch will be played. I also, agree with someone who said they wouldn't be shocked if whoever wins this one doesn't win the rematch.

Raceland stats; 450+ yards per game 198 rushing yards, 258 passing yards 38.5 points per game, allowing 11.5 ppg Haven't allowed 100 yards rushing in any game so far this year.

Raceland I think has the better defensive front 7. I would venture to say the OLine is equal. Raceland has to be able to contain Phelps and stay on assignment for the cutbacks. Paintsville has to contain Raceland's passing game. The team that does this the best will win.
