  1. Season tickets are on sale for 200 chairbacks. Ticket package will include a reserved parking place. Look for more lucrative packages next season.
  2. JFL field has the lights up, Bermuda seeded and irrigation in place. Raceland should have the nicest JFL facility around once the grass matures.
  3. Sorry that this is too late but we just couldn't do it this year. Our resurfaced JFL field wasn't ready and the grass is still too tender on the field to take July stress. Hopefully, we will be back at it next year.
  4. I can't wait to get this season started!!!!
  5. East Carter would not have won the 16th Region the past 3 years without Montana. They would've been competitive but would not have been what they were with Fouts. JMHO
  6. Summer weights and workouts are going well. Raceland boys are staying focused on showing last year wasn't a fluke.
  7. That is an embarrassing mistake for the coaches and humiliating for the kid.
  8. Opinions are like certain body parts......we all have them, some just smell worse than others. LOL Montana is the best HS softball pitcher I have seen (in person). I wish her well at Alabama. Congratulations Ms. Fouts! Go kick some SEC butt.
  9. What was the deal with the Paintsville player that wasn't allowed to enter the game? I read on a Twitter feed that he left the stadium?
  10. Russell will be a good team this year but should be a lot better in 2019. I am intrigued to the new District they'll play in 2019.
  11. Offensive line - Gone are three multi-year starters, so there will be openings for some new blood to step in and fill those voids. The zone blocking scheme has been problematic ever since it was implemented upon TJ’s arrival. He hinted that aspects of the offense could be tweaked this off-season. Hopefully, the blocking scheme is one of them. Zone blocking is one of the simplest blocking schemes for the Oline. Russell has been so used to the pulling guard, Wing-T.... I too, think changes are coming to the offense but I think it is due to personnel. Coach Maynard is a smart coach and he will adapt his coaching to the players he has. JMO
  12. They moved the bus garage and it opens up the parking. We have new bleachers being installed, plus the new goal posts...….rumor is, the track surface will be orange. I haven't confirmed this, but it sounds cool.
  13. Just put the lights up and the irrigation is in place at the JFL field. Planted Bermuda....It will be one of the nicest JFL fields around.
  14. The press box has been moved and now awaiting the new home bleachers and the pouring of the new track. The field will look amazing soon!!!
  15. I look for Gunnur to have a huge role in the offense this year. I think we will be able to be more vertical this year, which will open up our run game and vice versa.
  16. Pikeville is the REAL DEAL! I just hope we get the opportunity to play them again with a trip to LexVegas on the line.
  17. The sources are so varied. I can tell you I'd be surprised if the QB you speak of leaves Ironton. I am good friends with his dad and we laugh a lot at these sources and rumors. I have heard he is already enrolled at Ashland, Russell, looked at GC and was going back to Burg as well as coming to Raceland. All of this talk was because Ironton was without a Head Coach. They have a coach and I expect you'll see him playing at Tank Memorial Stadium for 2 more years. I have always heard, "never say never", but I honestly think the talk is dying down. As for all the Raceland move "talk", I think most of it started because the kid and his dad watched our playoff games. Ironton wasn't playing, so they watched us play.
  18. Their 2nd baseman has signed a LOI to Louisville and another has signed to play D1 softball. A 4th player has signed to play at Kentucky Christian Univ.
  19. Montana Fouts, Alabama signee and star of the MaxPreps #2 Nationally ranked East Carter High School Raiders, was announced as the Kentucky Gatorade Player Of The Year for the third year in a row. Montana is also a top contender for the National POY. Heading into the State Tournament, she owns the state record for wins (144) and strikeouts. Her ERA is currently 0.07, which would also be a state record. To date, she has 12 no hitters and 8 perfect games this year. Congratulations Montana and to the team! Good luck in the state tourney.
  20. Congratulations to Coach Greg Logan & Steve Logan on their continued dominance of the 16th Region over their 12 year reign at Greenup. Someone will have to double check me but I believe this is 5 Region titles in the 12 years at GC. I know Coach Logan has guided the Musketeers to 9 Region semi-final appearances in 12 years. That is a model of consistency and definitely building something huge in Lloyd, KY.
  21. We had a lot of defensive holes to fill for last season as well and it turned out pretty good. I feel like we have several program guys that are ready for their shot at playing time.
  22. I think the opinion in Raceland is that anything less than a State finals game this year going to be a disappointment. We have many talented kids returning and I think our schedule is extremely tough. Ashland, Greenup, Ports West, Somerset, Russell, Paintsville will definitely challenge us to be better because all these teams are talented and very good.
  23. Is this Hergott kid related to the former Beechwood QB from the 90's?
