Guys sometimes there is no story or drama. The schools can simply choose not to renew a one year contract. Maybe it was a mutual thing or maybe there was a legitimate reason. Lets throw some names out there. Stamm from Ludlow would be a good fit. I'd like to see what Bramlage from newport could do if he has some talent, he is a Special Ed teacher as well. How about the old NCC coach McDonald Are there any assistants at Ryle, Cooper, or Boone that may have a chance?

IF I am coaching, I want my fans screaming behind the opposing teams bench. I want my band blaring beind the opposing team's bench.

Anyone know what she teaches? If she teaches science, math, or special ed. it will be easy for her to find another teaching and coaching job.

I thought the officiation was very poor tonight at BOK. Very poor indeed. It may not have cost Boone the game, but it put them behind the 8 ball about three minutes into the game.

My point is that since they have only 36 middle school basketball players, that nuetralizes the advantage of being a larger school district. Grant Co. is a large school district with an 'A School' mentality. Until that mentality changes and there are two middle school teams with players "allowed" to move up as their ability allows them to; the big school philosophy will never materialize. I look at Walton and I see players being moved up (8th graders playing jr. high and freshman) and a very active elementary program, they are a small school doing whatever they can to try and win. Those players have three or four years of high school experience when they are sophomores. At GC they high school and middle school programs are almost different entities with little or no collaboration.

That is a sound point. But, For as big as they are,they have only 36 middle school basketball players because they have only one team at every grade level. They have one feeder school with only 36 kids. This trumps the size of the school and causes it to operate as if it were an A school.

Regardless of the time, making the right choice is most important. I know the AD personally and his heart beats for GC athletics. I hope coach utter gets it but if he doesn't, I trust the AD and Principal have an even better candidate lined up. All of the names mentioned are pretty solid candidates. Other considerations: Teaching Position Can the new coach bring in his own preselected staff? Vested interest in the county. While i personally do not agree with some of the athletic philosophies, I do care about al of the athletes in the basketball program on the girls and boys side. I do believe that the AD and Prinicipal are very professional and will give fair consideration to all candidate, including coach utter. The well being of the student athletes is the most important thing in everyone's eyes.
