  1. I believe this year it will be held at CCHS.
  2. Good post. But, Walton is still very very good.
  3. Other than Ray Kues, who has been forced out?
  4. Please expand with some names of coaches who have left?
  5. :notworthy: What were the JV and Freshman records?
  6. Good point. What can an AD do in order stop parents from acting like jerkoffs? What could Mel Webster had done to prevent this?
  7. What allegedly happened?
  8. What exactly was Brossart doing that was wrong?
  9. Kevin would not be a good choice. He behaved very unprofessionally last year when he didn't get the job. Terry Bray was the right choice and they will not find a better coach than he to succeed him. If Kevin had gotten the job last year, the record would not have been better, probably would have stayed the same and more drama would have unfolded because Kevin would have been consulting the previous coach for every decision and the previous coach was fired.
  10. This is especially true at this particular school. The adminstration and athletic director are fabulous, as are the students themselves. But when the beer is flowing at the Men's stag or the folks are partying during the holiday weekend, all of the sudden good people become incompetent, and strides made during a season are forgetten.
  11. I thought title IX required the same location? I guess not. Only the boy's ninth region was at Bank of Ky Center last year I think.
  12. I thought it was always held at the field house.
  13. I meant Campbell as the #4 seed. Thanks boss
  14. 1. GRC 2.Mason 3. Scott 4.St. Pat 5. Montgomery Dark Horses: Paris, Brossart, Pendleton I will go on record here today when I say that in the 37th district Tournament, Calvary will be the three seed with Scott #1, Bishop #2, and Campell #3 You heard it, Calvary Christian will beat Campbell County this year.
  15. I understand what you are saying, yet still disagree. But the last sentence is ridiculous.
  16. For the record, it is not an objective truth that private school education is a better education than public school education. There are indeed less distractions in a private school. Less discipline issues. Is the curriculum more challenging, probably. But I would say that there is a wider range of lessons learned in a public school than a private school. I might even say that, generally speaking, the teachers in a public school are more qualified and capable than the teachers in a private school. My experience (which is not a lot but a decent amount) has shown me that teachers and students in a private school struggle very much in diverse situations which has an extreme measure of self accountability.
  17. They have a good group of 8th and 9th graders. Hopefully they don't catch the holy cross Syndrome.
  18. You really shouldn't take shots at teams like that. GC will continue to improve and Coach Davis will right the ship. ITs just one game and in the big picture, it really doesn't mean much. The underclassmen have some talent and the quarterback will continue to improve. But for right now, back off.
  19. It is hard to be qualified to work there. Check out the requirements on their website. How many candidates want to jump through all of the hoops.
  20. It is hard to reach your full potential if you are playing two sports. It is almost impossible to reach it if you are playing three. That being said, I have never told one of my players that they should not be involved in other sports. But deep inside, I hate soccer.
  21. No one waits two years to transfer for academic reasons. There is nothing wrong with transferring for athletic reasons. Nothing to be ashamed of.
  22. This was brought up in one of the minor threads. If a coach knows that a young man does not have the skills to make the team; he knows this through previous observations and the boy's physical makeup. Is it appropriate to tell the boy before tryouts even begin? Is it right to let a kid run mile after mile and go through all of the excess preseason conditioning activities if the coach knows the boy will eventually get cut? When is it okay to cut a kid loose before making him go through all the pre-tryout workouts?
  23. INteresting topic. How would she have reacted if the coach allowed her to go through weeks of hard conditioning and then cut her from the team. I bet she would have wished the coach would have told her before she ran for six weeks. I see your point though. Perhaps something like "Sure you can try out and show us what you've got. But you will have to work very hard to make for for the time you missed the past couple of years. You may have to put in extra time on your own." It's not as easy a scenario as some think. If a coach can tell that a player has no chance of making the team, but cannot actually cut her until a specific date, does that coach string the girl along throughout conditioning, weight lifting, or other pre-season workouts. When does a coach cut a kid loose early so the kid is not wasting their (the kid's) time?
  24. Is Bramalge still their coach?
  25. They will be good. Not as insanely dominating as last year. NCC and Coach Dawn are never down. They never really have down years, just less dominate years. I'm pretty jealous. :notworthy:
