Usually Class A coaches make sure that the opponent is aware that the game may be canceled if they make the state tournament before the agreement is final to play. Frequently the team that wins the tournament has to cancel more games in mid february in order to be compliant with the state rule of games allowed.
A parent from pendleton told me last night that the Pendleton County boys team received a technical foul because one of their own fans was yelling at the officials.
About what? The post season remark? Officials have to have six hours (i think six) of scrimmage in order to work.

They probably enjoy what they do. They probably are fans of the game. I'm curious to see if they would officiate for free. Or how about officiating for 11 cents an hour. That's how much I made coaching if I added up all of the hours I worked.
How about the fact that they (who are paid) expect the players to retrieve all loose balls that bounce away when the players are there to play hard and win?
My quest was to see where refs come from. Are they guys that love basketball but got cut from the team or are they former players that do not have time to coach, but still want to be around?
Six weeks in, who is over-achieving? Underachieving? Biggest surprises?
Cooper seems to be doing better.

I haven't followed Conner much. Their record is surpsrising but they may be young.
