I've heard 6'5" transfer Louisville Valley and a point guard transfer Fleming Co. Matching them up with Campbell means Nicholas will be much improved.

You gotta LOVE basketball!! I've read this whole entire post and have come to the conclusion that the only teams worthy in the 10th region are Mason, Clark, Scott ( a little bit) and Brossart (a little bit). The rest of the 10th may want to cut cost and not participate this year! But, it's a long season and their is a reason why they play the games!! Good luck to all the "underdogs"!!

They have an assortment of players that could be on the list in a few years. You may want keep them on your radar...

I got to witness Timmons on several occasions and was very impressed. He was and is the motor that drives Franklin Co's 9th graders. I just wonder if he played AAU this past summer? Many of the kids that are recognized are only those who play AAU. There are several other players and teams in the state who've not been mentioned. Others will be mentioned in the near future!

Outside of Mason and Clark who would be the next tier of teams that could make it to regional finals (If Mason/Clark are in the same bracket)?? What does the future hold?

Exactly the reason Harrison needs to find basketball specialist. Harrison has not had success competing in the 10th region since the 90's when they had: Ogden, Pendley, Boyers, Whitajewski, Harney, Fogle, etc...

It's a good thing somebody shows some interest in basketball. Don't be fooled about what it takes to be successful. Finding players to participate is like pulling teeth and Harrison doesn't have many upperclassmen knocking the door down to play or even practice for that matter. Other matters are much more pressing in the summertime!!

I love that last quote... So many times kids these days have been given everything and think the world owes them something. Earn it!

Harrison has a "solid" group of incoming freshmen players. Probably shouldn't have entered two teams, but with Harrison it's pretty much a guessing game. You never know when or if baseball players are going to be available. The baseball ball team went deep into state baseball tournament, thus, baseball players won't play any games this summer. However, the freshmen group has gotten a lot of valuable experience.

Harrison wouldn't have enough players to play summer basketball if the incoming freshmen weren't interested in basketball.

How did Pendleton Co. do against South Laurel? Can anybody give me some info??

Harsh, Harsh, Harsh... I'm an outsider and for the sake of the current and future Polar Bears Bracken needs stability. The Bracken carousel of coaches needs to end. Bury your hatchets and rally behind Chad and do what's best for the players. Bracken has "good" group of freshmen entering this year and stability at the top is most important! Good Luck to the players and to Chad!

What about Tracy Thomas who graduated in 1985. He was a warrior and pretty good player as well.

I had the opportunity to meet him today and he'll be a "great" addition to the Cynthiana community!! He met with both Middle School and High School players today and seems enthusiastic about getting started! Would like to wish him the best of luck!

When are people ever going to figure basketball out.. I hear all of you Bracken Co. folks trying to blame and give credit to various different people. It is all about the feeder program and where would Bracken be if an interested parent (Riggs) hadn't taken an interest in those kids?

Only 7-10 applicants. Three local applicants and some of the other applicants have previous 1-2 years (short term) coaching experience. The community might as well ready itself for someone with little experience and I'm not saying that'll be a negative. Hopefully it'll be someone that'll embrace the community and get involved in building a solid feeder program. If not, we're in trouble and we'll experience several down years, because some of the good athletes are not playing football in the middle school.

I can't believe the baseball team is questioning support and crying for more... The football stadium was built in the late 1940's or early 1950's and the baseball field received new fences, grassed infield and new dugouts in the fall of 1984 and then the dugouts have been done over since then. The comparison is 60 years vs. 25 years??? Neither one is good for KIDS from a facility standpoint. Having a new basketball gym sure would be nice... Maybe 2 or 3 gyms and maybe they could incorportate an indoor hitting faciltiy for both girls and boys softball/baseball. Then we would all be happy...

For the kids sake, it would be nice that Coach Reitz commit to coaching another four to five years. Harrison has young kids committed to playing basketball and not as concerned about other sports. Basketball as the #1 priority would refresh the batteries for Reitz!
