Personally, I think Coach O'Hearn is a quality, quality coach. You can only have so many D1 players before it dries up. O'hearn is a proven coach, dedicated, and has won a STATE CHAMPIONSHIP!

True, it didn't help matters, but it wasn't the only difference in the game. When a team like Pendleton has only 7 team fouls for the game and goes 17 for 24 at the Free Throw line and Harrison Co. has only 3 attempts from the FT line (1 of 3). That is the major difference. Harrison only loses by 4??? Who is the better team?? I guess we'll find out at the end of February. Harrison Co. has been involved in several games like this all year long. Not sure what the deal is?

Pendleton County/ Harrison County predictions 1/28
I'm all ears! Waiting for a response to how hc staff motivates opposing players. Heck, they need to find a way to motivate Harrison co players!

Future does look bright for Harrison Co., but nobody will surrender and give you anything. How hard will the Breds work to get better? Stronger?

Bracken County 68 Harrison County 63
Harrison was 8 for 20 from 3 and only had 16 turnovers. Heck, 16 TO is an unbeleivable improvement when you compare that to having 32 TO's vs. Simon Kenton and 28 TO's vs. Cov. Scott. Thorobreds will do nothing but get better the rest of the way...

Bracken County 68 Harrison County 63
Against Lewis Co. Bracken picked up their 3rd team foul in the second half with 35 seconds remaining. Jefferson from Bracken picked up his first foul late in the 4th quarter and he was clearing out the lane all night long against Harrison Co. Both are hard to swallow, but Harrison did have several stupid fouls away from basket, but it wasn't that many... Will be interesting how the Robertson Co. faithful handles it tonight...

Bracken County 68 Harrison County 63
Both teams played extremely hard. Game was very physical and ultimately the strength and size of Bracken prevailed. Harrison lost the game at the ft line. I think Bracken was like 26 of 39 at the charity stripe and Harrison was 5 of 8. Huge difference when you have a young Harrison Co. team and an experience Bracken Co. team. Harrison made several mistakes and is still learning how to play the game. Good luck to Bracken.

Bracken County 63 Lewis County 60
Same thing happened against Harrison Co. Foul totals for the game were 28-10 for the game. Bracken had 3 team fouls with 2:30 left in the game. Bracken was like 26 for 38 from the FT line and Harrison was like 5 of 8. Harrison did commit several sensless fouls out on the floor.

I'm going with Harrison co, Harrison beat A scrappy team in Barbourville. The breds record goes to 1 win Against 2 defeats and will get better with each game

Harrison's roster has 1 Sr., 3 Jr.s (2 that play), 9 Soph., and 1 Freshmen. The freshmen played like one on Monday, but has lots of potential. Yes, it was better coaching from SK, but HC has a lot of potential. Harrison has 2 returning starter with varsity experience and the rest are green!

I wouldn't expect anything less coming from N. KY. You guys might as well cross the river with all the other arrogant Ohio people. Yes, I'm from Cynthiana (Harrison Co) and yes we're inexperienced and it's difficult to take at times. Let's talk about the difference in the game. SK went to a half court 1-3-1 trap because they couldn't guard us in the half court. Most of HC players were baptised to varsity basketball tonight, but will be prepared for that situation the next time. Just need a little more experience.

38th District--Predictions
Since 7th or 8th Grade. Quality kids from good family as well. They're finally seniors!

38th District--Predictions
Not sure about Pendleton Co. easily winning the district?? They lost a good shooter in Cooper and slasher/penetrator in Greene. Deming will be good if both the King's stay healthy... But they have no depth coming off the bench. Don't sell the young Thorobreds short... Will be interesting when they get varsity experience.

38th District--Predictions
What does everyone think? Will Pendleton Co. win it again? or do you think Deming, Harrison, or Nicholas will unseat the Wildcats? Personally, I think Deming stands a chance with the King twins returning and I think Harrison Co.'s youth stands a chance later in the season after gaining some experience. Nicholas Co. will have difficulty replacing Campbell and I believe Washington has returned to Louisville.

Harrrison County 2010/2011
Everyone is valuable at a school like Harrison Co. because of the size of the school. When the dust settles 5,10,15, 30 years down the road at class reunions you'll all be Thorobreds and you're only in H.S. for four years. Might as well chase your dreams!

Harrrison County 2010/2011
I'm not sure how valuable those two baseball players would be? They've not picked up a basketball since last Basketball season and have probably been passed up... Not sure how much they would play anyway. Harrison has a core of players that love basketball which they've not had since the mid to late 90's. Just may not have the depth they could've had.

Harrrison County 2010/2011
Defense will be the determining factor and if they commit to it they could be a legit team over the next couple of years! They love to play and have great chemistry so far! Unselfish and don't care who scores! If they win 16-20 games this year, the next couple of years could be special!!

Josh Hamm named as Pendleton County head coach
Great news for the Hamm family. Best of luck!! I guess his parents will be making several trips north to support the kitty kats!
