That pop up was clearly the third basemans ball the first inning, which gave CAL the opportunity to score 1 run in the first inning. 11 hits are big, but how many were bunts that our third baseman should have handled? Bottom line, CAL had nothing to lose. Did anyone see the one CAL fan in the middle of the Rock fans. He was harrassing a young lady so Coach Lampley sat beside this dude and shut him up.

It had a big part in it. Ump behind the plate could not see the outside corner, positioned badly.

Deeds did not come back up in the order, so no loss at bat. What is a player to do when Shutt takes the ball out of the glove an hits a player in the face, creating a bloody fat lip? Does one not protect himself? Players got away with alot worse in prior games. TIGERX, it wasn't what was said, it was what Shutt did, you make a tag and walk away, but when Shutt takes the ball out of the glove and hits ones face, the runner normally gets alittle upset. This comment coming from a X fan, I can expect. I hope CAL plays the same way tonight against you. Cal may bring up an 8th grader to pitch, so I wish you luck.

State's # 1 team wins, but not in a fashion you would think. Looked very sluggished. Tenn. signee Zach Osbourne who only hit 330 for the year, continues his 1 for 3 batting. The Butler or Bullitt East vs PRP will be intereesting.

The Rocks have plenty of pitchers for three games. Hohmann, Littrell, Griffin, Rueff and even Deeds if Tompkins so desires. Manual disappointed me because several people thought Manual had a chance to make it to Thursday night. This game proved to be too much for the RAM sophomore pitcher.

Maronde is a pitcher with a 32-2 record! Wow, that is amazing.

Wow, what a game. Ballard doesn't pitch their # 1 and look what happens. X pitched Mosby and held the Bruins at bay. Too many errors killed Ballard. Well, Eastern and X will be a dandy on 5/28.

Then why did Beatty tell him last year to go out for QB in '08?

Trinity top 3 pitchers will share time on the mound the first two games in order to be able to pitch in game 3 IMHO. That's if they win the first two games. I just hope T plays X in the final.....give X another chance to lose again to the Rocks.

Holloway at QB, 6'4" strong arm, able to see down field, but will be inexperienced. I know, what about Smyth, he will start, but will be a WR at end of season. Who else at WR, Radcliff. Will be interesting to see how Radcliff reacts to other teams best DB's, since that wasn't the case last year. O-line has to be the biggest question mark for Beatty. Losing 4 OL to graduation is a big blow. Defense should be solid in the middle, but will lack speed at DE position.

Thanks Ram......no criminal behavior from a player, just a short fused father. I suppose no harm no foul in a high blood pressure game. If Trinity makes the final, they won't see Ballard. IMHO Ballard will not match up to X or Eastern.

Trinity vs Eastern final. Yes, Manual will give a good game against Trinity, but experience will overcome. The Rocks have seen good pitchers this year and will not be afraid of Manuals sophomore pitcher. Same story as for the Creekers. On the other side, Eastern will have something to prove against X or Ballard.

Great game...what about the sportsmanship from the Ballard catcher? Twice he got into altercations with Trinity and umpires only throw out warnings. Even Coach Gilbert yelled at the kid, but he remained in the game. If that happened in Rockville, the kid would be sitting the pine. Coach Gilbert went down a few notches in my book. It would not of hurt his team to take him out since their playing next week. Ballard had new infield players from the last time the Rocks played them. This might have been the difference except the Rocks saw their #3. Lets hope the bats remain hot.....

Tomorrow is the game at 5 p.m vs Ballard. Seneca has some very talented kids. I would say if you matched player to player from both squads, Seneca was the most talented. The difference was the pitching.

Stephan pitches another good game. Trinity had some good hits (Berry, Deeds, Bowling, Epperson, Hartlage and o'Shagnessy) and solid defense. Errors are reducing for the Rocks, and if they continue to hit and play error free ball, should be exciting to watch in the next game and regionals. Look out Ballard, meet the Rock.........

Sorry Jimmy.....it wasn't A.J, glad to know a little background of one of the teammates. Also....Riverside...Trinity did not try to lose the game.....

Riverside...last game of the regular season, why not give a manager a chance at the plate (he got a walk), and got a put out at second. This made his year.. Tompkins let a few pitchers try an hit, which turned into outs. If it wasn't for a error from the outfield and infield, T would have won. We're just hoping those errors don't come tonight.....

No favorites in rock land....I can name a few. Best player at each spot, I again can name a few, but the record speaks for itself. Conservative pace, have you not seen any of their Augusts practices..THREE? I think several SR's order their rings and if you have a SR who did not order, he may regret it in the future.

I found that hard to believe myself......I think several players ordered their SR ring......THREE OR A KIND must be living in a different world.

And, you could definitely tell our outfield play was down, probably due to the fact that Bowling was not in RF and a few players had to be switched around. I'm sure Coach Tompkins will make the changes before Tuesdays game.....

Deeds' record for 2008 is 0-1. Apparently few people didn't know, Deeds throws strikes, but has been better served in CF. Infield errors did not help Deeds' first start. Almost everyone on Trinity's bench got a chance to bat, even the sophomore manager.

Why ask Riverside? Story hasn't changed. The Rock faithfull is hoping to make it the regionals and battle X in the final.

I wasn't able to make this game, but this years Shelby County team is better than their last years team who beat PRP at Applebee's. I think Trinity won in a close one.

Injured or not, he stole second base last night, so his leg must not be too injured.

Congrats to the X men. Now is X the team to beat for the State? Also, good job to Amlung, must have pitched a very very good game.
