Great game! Lloyd led the entire game. Dixie gained the lead within the final minutes but Lloyd tied it up to go into OT.

That's how it always seems to happen.

I asked him and yes Donnie's dad is Donnie also and he did go to Holmes.

I honestly think that Lloyd will have a solid team this year. They are returning 7 starters from a team that went 17-15 last season. Last season they had solid wins over Boone County, Holy Cross, Bellevue, and Conner...twice. Also they had some tough losses to Campbell County, Ryle, and Brossart. But the Juggernauts lose their ace this year to an injury. And pitching will be pretty thin. But with all the talent returning, I wouldn't be surprised if the Juggs aren't in the top ten at the end of the season. It's about time good baseball is being played in Erlanger. Coach Moore and his staff do their best to make sure all of their athletes play some form of summer ball, and encourage many to get into the weight room...something that hasn't been done since JT Mulligan was the Head. Also, Lloyd has a player that is going to play baseball at the next level...something else that hasn't been done in a while. Maybe Lloyd won't be able to compete with the likes of CovCath and Beechwood, but don't count them out. Anything can happen, just ask Bellevue.

Donnie Cheatum had one of the best dunks I've seen in a HS game in person. That really got the team fired up and they played good.

Lloyd catcher Corey Moore signed to play baseball with Brescia,in Owensboro. Corey plays for the Bluegrass Chiefs in the summer. Corey is the first player to play college baseball out of Lloyd since Scott Scudder and Scott Partin in 2004. Congratulations!

Lloyd was up by as much as 12 at one time. This is the third time this year Lloyd has blown a double digit lead.

If you think he's not a top 10 sophomore in NKY then you have no clue what you're talking about and have never seen him play.

No I'm talking about Charles Johnson who had an offer to WKU but decided to go to EKU for football.

He's still only 15. Give him two more years of hard work and he can play D1. There was a player who came through Lloyd a few years ago who could have went D1 for basketball but chose to play football. And Donnie is easily just as talented as him.

Should be a good game. Lloyd won't drop 80 tonight. I'm thinking if Shina has an off game Lloyd might win. But if not I think HC will win by about 8 or so.

Donnie Cheatum must be mentioned. Definitely D1 caliber if he keeps up the hard work.

9th region refs not only have a tendency to call touchy feely, but to also be inconsistent. Its no handchecking on the ball but nearly lawless under the rim.

This was a competitive game, and Lloyd seemed to actually put 4 quarters together. Nice to see them get Newport back.

Lloyd's weight room is awful. It's an old storage room with old equpiment-terrible!

WOW. Conner barely beat a struggling Lloyd team yesterday, and now they're beating Holmes??? Keep up the good work Cougars.
