  1. The thing is Lloyd won this game without Dylan McGuire, their best player. There were guys playing positions they don't normally play, and still managed only one error. Tony Piper pitched great for the first couple of innings, but Lloyd fed off of good hits and errors. Lloyd's Aaron Warren also pitched well, and the defense backed him up. The triple play changed the momentum of the game, and after that Bellevue struggled. The real test will be Friday when Lloyd goes to play PRP at PRP.
  2. Why Bellevue? I can think of several other teams you did not name that would beat them by 30. Heck Campbell would destroy Bellevue if they played... I'm just not sure where you're coming from with that. Do you know something nobody else does? I would love to know.
  3. To be completely honest I think it was a great win. These games are basically the "Must Wins." Calvary, usually not known for baseball, has some guys that can play some ball, so it's no surprise to me that Highlands only scored 7 runs. I don't know if the starters played much or maybe some JV guys got some work in, but anytime you can shut-out a team, you've done a great job, no matter who it is. Highlands has a good squad, good coaching, and awesome fans, and anyone who follows Northern Kentucky baseball knows Highlands is a dangerous team with plenty of weapons. Nice win.
  4. Seth Chappie will go to somewhere like EKU or Morehead St. David Carroll is also being looked at by Ball State and a few other smaller colleges.
  5. You forgot to mention Dixie too. :madman:
  6. To be completely honest Lloyd took Cooper very lightly. They didn't expect Cooper to come out swinging and hit the ball the way they did. Lloyd's Aaron Warren (sp) didn't have his best stuff, but still managed to get out of some jams. Thompson came in and closed for Lloyd and really did a great job. As far as Lloyd's field goes....The infield is great, but the football team just tears the outfield to shreds. Try having it all season. :puke:
  7. It's too bad both games were cancelled. Lloyd would be 4-0 right now. :thumb:
  8. Yeah. And actually having a legit O and D line would help too.
  9. PM me if you really want to know. I dont want to just say why I think it is and have twenty other people attack me for what I think.
  10. Well, I'm not sure of the final score, but Hunter Jones did hit a homerun that appeared to clear the gymnasium in left field. This was from my perspective and I may be exaggerating, but it was a shot.
  11. They need to give Seth Chappie the ball fifty times a game. AND, they need to spend a lot of time working with the Erlanger Lions, and keep those boys in Erlanger and Elsmere. Lloyd won't have any success untill the players from the Lions who are really good, stop leaving for other schools.
  12. Lloyd Memorial (17-15) 2008 Head Coach: Aaron Moore Asst. Coach: Noah Welte Asst. Coach: Marty Moore Asst. 13. Does anyone have any details about the game? Date? Place? Players participating?
  14. It's ironic that they play on teams in the same district. Honestly, Dixie is probably Lloyd's biggest rival when it comes to baseball.
  15. He will also start defense, and play special teams. He will be the most important factor for Lloyd next year. He's honestly the only weapon they will have besides Dylan McGuire.
  16. I'd really like to see Lloyd beat Dixie twice in the same year, but I just don't think that will happen. I think it will be St. Henry and Dixie in the finals, with St. Henry winning it all.
  17. I think Seth Chappie from Lloyd will have a break out year. After being over shadowed for two years behind Seydrick Walker, Chappie will be the star in the Lloyd backfield for the 2009 season. IMO he'll have easily over 1300 all purpose yards, considering he'll return kicks/punts, plus catching the ball out of the backfield.
  18. These two teams scrimmaged over the summer at sk and Bishop edged Lloyd by four, I think with it being at home Lloyd has enough of an edge to win.
  19. Greg Muzzilo quit during the season last year after losing playing time to Trammel. He hasnt played at all this year.
  20. Just curious. I always hear people exaggerate numbers of students at schools and I just wanted to know how big the school really was from someone who actually follows Dixie.
