You probably have this stat; how many block shots did Hopkinsville have?

Webster County will try to slow down the game with the Tigers but I don't see them being very successful. Madisonville should have no problem with Lyon County either. Hopkinsville and Madisonville might be an interesting matchup if the Tigers are not hitting from the outside. Madisonville can run with them, but they cannot score like the Tigers can. Hopkinsville should prevail from the top bracket into the finals. Tuesday night's games should be the better two opening round games. Trigg has beaten Caldwell twice on the season, but Caldwell has shown steps of improvement the last two weeks of the season and gave Madisonville a great district final. If a district winner gets upset, this would be the one I would guess to be the one. Henderson County vs. Christian County has the potential to be a good game also, but they have met already and Henderson won easily. Christian County could catch Henderson looking ahead but I don't think that will happen. I am taking Trigg County and Henderson County to advance and then Henderson County will advance to the finals to face Hopkinsville. Saturday night's championship game should be a good one. But I am expecting Hopkinsville to return to the sweet 16.

Livingston Central is closer to many of the teams in Region 1 as opposed to Region 2. I really thought they would be moved. Of course when you move them, someone has to be moved into Region 2. Years ago, Todd County Central was in Region 2, thought they might return, especially since Hwy 68 is now a 4 lane hwy. Guess they just didn't want to upset many people.

With severe weather being predicted tonight in western kentucky, several games have been cancelled. (Or Postponed) This is what I am aware of already. Feel free to add any others. Madisonville at UHA Crittenden County at Hopkins County Central Owensboro Catholic at Webster County

Hopkins County Central has hired Marshall Enoch, former coach at McLean County. He has a tough challenge as HCC has only won 1 game over the past two years. But he is up for the challenge. Wish him and the Storm luck.

Simple answer, they are to provide the transportation. In our society today, you do this because as soon as a parent takes their kid to a game, then they have a wreck, then you have the lawsuit. It sounds silly but this is where we are today in public school systems. As far as the parents saying; "we will just go anyway" "They cant tell us what we can do". True, but they can fire the coach. And I have seen that happen, no more than 3 years ago. They made a decision, I have no problem with the decision. It probably was a popular one, but they lived with it. But as you can see, when you read all these comments, why we have problems in the system.

Couple of questions? What time would the bus have to leave to get there? What time would a 17 year old have to be at the school to make sure he caught the bus? If their back roads are anything like ours, I completely understand the school boards decision.

"Great" is a powerful word. I'm not sold on great yet. Should win this one easily though. Let us see how they do away from home against some other "great" teams.

It was obvious that he was going to be a headache. He might grow up, but I can see him going from team to team until no one wants him. Then I guess he will have to try to find a real job. That should be another interesting thread.

Very good report. Hopkinsville is at the top. Henderson and Christian are also the top 2 contenders. Would have to put Union County higher though and move Webster down. After that I'm not for sure if there is that much difference between the rest. And it is nice to see Fort Campbell has gotten things turned around some. Also, Webster County is hosting a holiday tournament in Dixon.

Madisonville won the regular season match up late in the game. Nearly the last play of the game. 13-9 I believe. Owensboro will be a tougher match at Owensboro. It will be one of the better games.

I know a certain radio announcer that was tossed once. LOL

4 minutes left in first half, Madisonville leads 14-0.

Just glad to see Hopkinsville back in the playoffs and also showing some improvement on the field. WC will not have a problem here, but the Tigers are working their way back and am looking for them to have a winning season next year.

And Fort Campbell is the 4th school in that county. That district does not need to change. Of course they(8th district) have won the region for the last several years.

The ejections occured during a punt return. LO was returning a punt when the return man was ran out of bounds on the HC sideline. As that happened there was a contact made on the sideline. A HC player was hit. Not for sure if he was blocked or just got ran over. I think it was ruled unsportsmanlike contact. Flag was throw instantly. Before the LO player could get back on the field there was some pushing and shoving right after that. Another flag was throw. Unsportsmanlike again. Before order was restored, there were 5 unsportsmanlike penalties called on the play. 2 ejections, I think the LO player who made the late hit on the sideline and the HC who got up and retaliated. This happened in the first half. So to start the second half, the adults(coaches/officials) agree to 8 minute quarters I guess for the second half. Its already a running clock. HC kicks off and LO has all their players meet in a huddle like formation and one player comes out with the football. They all head in different directions. Up 50 with a running clock and quarters have been shortened and this is how they start the second half? I guess they felt like they should practice it?

Hopkins Central has hit bottom and will have to make some changes. Should be an interesting match up next week as Lone Oak travels to Madisonville. Ousley will have to be on for that game. There were a couple of events that occured that I did think were out of character friday night. In a blowout game, that you have well in hand, I dont think the kickoff return trickery to start the second half was uncalled for. Your thoughts? And then the second one was the situation that occured after the two players were ejected.

Another tough game for the Trojans. Trigg coming in off a loss but scored a lot of points.

The Storm got close last week, this one is at Storm Stadium also, can they pull one off?
