Everyone in attendance said it was Boyd's best game of the year. That tells you how talented and explosive that Elliott is.

Add fuel to what fire? Dont remember there being a fire. I might have turned my head for the last minute of the game and Knipp might have walked off the floor, but he was in the game the majority of the Fourth Quarter if not all. Dont make a issue about it, I have no issue about it, he was the same age of the Boyd players in the game.

I dont believe there was a Boyd Co fan at all upset tonight over the score. Only comments that I heard from any Boyd fans was that Elliott could possibly be better than they are with a little more effort from certain players.

Like I said before, Knipp was in the game at the end. I was there, I watched the game, and last time I checked Knipp started the game. As I said before, I have no problem with the starters playing the whole game, just dont sugarcoat it for the ones that do care.:thumb:

Elliott County did not run the score up. Boyd kept running and gunning as well.

Figured this game would be a bit closer.

First Boyd game I have been able to catch for a long time and first time getting to watch Elliott in the past 2 years and I was impressed. I believe the statements here are way off, the starters played more than the 1st and 3rd Quarters. The starters played till about 3 minutes to go in the Second Quarter in First Half and there was still some starters playing at end of game. With that being said, I have no problem with the starters still playing in the 4th Quarter. Those kids deserve to play and need to stay in full game shape. Especially knowing they have a big tournament coming up. From what I saw Elliott is very solid, but will rely on one players attitude and will to win, when it gets to the State Tournament time. One player seems to feel he is bigger than the game to me. No disrespect to the kid, because he is super talented, but seems a bit lazy and only does enough to get by. Odd to see mixed with the other players, because they were full speed at all time. I was told by the surrounding fans that Boyd played their best game of the season to even get the score that they did. They actually shot a high percentage. Congrats to Elliott, they are for real.

And might I say, "The Givin is Good" :thumb: Enjoy it while you can, because unfortunately the role changes sometimes...ask Boyd County.

Shelby Valley can flat out play. This was a good win for them.

Its the little Icons at the end of the statements of some posters that really grab attention and set examples. I just wondered if Boyd Co posters would have placed those type of Icons on BGPreps years ago while manhandling teams like Elliott Co. Maybe, Maybe not...just wondering. Elliott County is on a great ride right now, I hope them the best and enjoy watching them. Enjoy the success while you can, because one day you might have other teams predicting the score against Elliott County with the same icon of :sleep:. Make fun of the name all you want, but there was a "Junebug" on the KY All-Star team which consist of the top 12 players in the State, and none on your list made the KY All-Star Team. I do believe Owens made a all-star game at Transy Univ, but dont believe any of the other guys listed did. And before you ask, Junebug had twice as good of a College career as anyone on your list as well.

I guess I have been gone for a while, dont even know who Black is??? When did he play for Boyd?? I did see Owens play a game or two...Incredible jumping ability.

I totally agree with your statement. Funny how everyone relates Boyd County basketball to Frank Lee and Owens. I believe back in the day when I was in Boyd County there wasnt any Lee's or Owen's and Boyd dominated game after game. I will have to say that I have heard some grumbling about Wooten's offense though. I was told he had twice the athletes that Russell had and got completely outcoached in the second half. Was that true?

I am gonna say West Carter by 19. I am even gonna go far enough to say West Carter 69 - Boyd County 50. Cant believe you are predicting a score the day after the game was played and still dont get it right...:sssh:

How do u have a game and the other team not show up?? Sounds like a bit of mismanagement to me. Is there that much talent difference between Boyd and Fairview?

It is my understanding that quite a few down your direction feel that way.

I guess I am a little confused by the Greenup Co saga. There has to be good athletes in GC, but will have to form some type of transportation to ever get those kids to and from Practice/games. Some of the confusing things are: Mr. Rister did a power point presentation on GC football, and sounds like a good one at that, but isnt this the same Rister that ran Baseball tournaments in Maysville and just moved back to Greenup once that oppurtunity was gone? Why did he leave Greenup in the first place? Job? Family? Mr. Preston is mentioned quite often about the Head Coach position. Seems you guys say he only has two years experience? Not enough to be a Head Coach. I also believe it was mentioned he was at Boyd under Damron as well. I believe he coached the Middle School after he was the Radio Announcer. He coached the Middle School, simply because other coaches turned it down before he offered. With that being said, by no means downing Preston, he could be a great coach, just saying that is not much experience. TJ Maynard should still be at Greenup if they had any sense at all. The man even had to wash the players uniforms every week......

Sounded as if that kick did kill their spirits from listening to it on the Radio. Players only play as well as they are directed, and from some of the games I have listened to, the direction has been questionable.

I believe this game was decided before it was even started. Raceland has been dominant all year and no reason to change tonight. I would like to see Raceland run the table. Good luck to the Rams.
