The scuttle in Stanford is that Soutwestern will be looking for a new coach next year. Was told that Rice is 99% moving on to something different. Who would be the front runners for that job? People already in system or outside? With all the talk on this thread about problems, I would think they would get someone out of system so they could start new, without any bias. Big school, lots of players to choose from. Ill bet there will be lots of candidates.

The games I have saw this year they did not utilize the post enough. If you have a D1 post player I think they should feed the post. Rice had better get a hold on this team or its gonna be over quick.

Lincoln, Casey, Rockcastle, Wayne and Southwestern all are very dangerous. Its gonna be a whale of a tournament. Also Mercer has a great coach and he is just good enough to beat someone if they are not on their game.

I thought this might happen. Wayne is playing their best ball right now. I will give Pyles credit, his teams peak at the right time and are very disciplined. Now someone is going to get a mad Southwestern team in the first round. Hope its not us.

Woods will out coach Jones again. Wayne wins by 5.

I really like our Lincoln team, but we are struggling to score right now and that concerns me. Casey is playing well and Wayne County has re-emerged as a team to deal with. Rock is not out either. Its March Madness people anything can happen.

Good win for Wayne County. They have put together 3 quality wins going into the tournament. The 12th region should be interesting to say the least.

Clinton could not get out of the 48th district much less win the 12th.

I knew there was something in the water that Les was drinking. Good win for Raider Rob and the Raiders.

Whats in the water is the big question? Ill say the Central by 5. And I am no McCreary fan.

oldballcoach thats some pretty strong words coming from you. Things must be tense on the south side of Pulaski County. Will Rice be there next year?

As a matter of fact McCreary Central only beat Monticello 73-47 the last time they played them, and thats 26 points and you beat Green by 25. So whats wrong with my logic? Both teams played you about the same? Right or wrong?

House of Pain have you looked at Greens schedule? They are 10-11 and have lost to the likes of Muhlenberg South. You must not have checked them out very good to make a comment like this. Also I never said McCreary could not beat Monticello, I said that Green/Monticello would have been a good game.

There are lots of "ifs" in games. Bottom line is Clinton beat them. Either South Laurel is/was not on their game or Clinton is a pretty good team. My belief is that Clinton is a pretty good team and Messer is a pretty good coach. My friends in Clinton had told me about this game a few days before and pretty much laid out the gameplan. I kinda laughed it off and after the game last night, they called to remind me of what they had told me and told me the score. Of course I gave them congrats and Clinton's coaches staff earned some respect from me. Maybe that what we should all take from this, Clinton did not take South lightly, and Clinton is a pretty good team and not make excuses for the home team.

I was told by some friends from Clinton that South Laurel looked down from previous years. Described them as not near as good as Hazard.

Green cant really match up with McCreary Central. Green and Monticello would be a good game so we cant really take anything from this game.

Big win for Southwestern. We looked and played tired. I know thats not a excuse for losing, but we win this game 9 out of 10 times.

Once a team shows that they are shooting very well you had better guard them wherever they are. This is not the first time Christian has shot like this. You have to guard the shooters, no matter if they are behind the arc some.

Rowan is no means a top 10 team. Maybe 15-20, but no higher. The win vs Manual was a good win, but if they play 10 times Manual wins 9 times.

McCreary season is not looking good at this point. Seems like big games like this gives them fits. Has the preseason #1 beaten anyone in the region that is a top team?

If Jones had not of had Watts and his brother he would not have won 25% of his games since he has been coach. Jones from what I hear basically lets Watts do what he wants and the rest get the hard line. That why the respect is a issue.:ohbrother:

Spurlin is a very good player. Low Major player.

This is the story I am hearing also. Coaches are not getting along or are not on the same page and the players dont and have not bought in for whatever reason. Sometimes its just time for a different direction.
