Big win for the Warriors.

Lincoln County falls to the Warriors. Very bad game for LC. Props to SW for tough defesne, they took Spurlin out of the game. LC trailed most of the night. SW blew it open in the 4th quarter. Neither team had more than a 7 point lead going into the fourth quarter. It was close game through 3.

 

This was LC's 5th game in 7 days, and it really showed. It is hard to prepare for a team as good as SW, a night after playing a battle against Garrard County. The boys exerted a lot of energy last night.

 

This game ended Lincoln's undefeated home record.

 

Spurlin was held under 10 points. SW used a box and 1, and it was really effective. This region is wide open.

I think you may be wrong. McCreary handed Green Co a loss tonight in dynamic fashion. It wasn't a game where you say that MC just won because they had a dominating performance. We keep saying that the MC team is full of athletes and have not been playing to their potential but tonight you could tell the Raiders came together as a team and played as a team. The slump is over and I would say the Raiders will be more than ready for their 1st round match-up with SW. If SW (or any 12th region team) would have seen MC play tonight a cold chill would have run down their back. Congrats to SW on their win and I can't wait till tourny time! Go get'em Raiders!

8 rebounds for the game? I don't think I've ever heard of such in a game with nearly 100 points scored.

McCreary beat a 10-10 Green County team who was playing their fifth game in six days and McCreary was at home. Southwestern beat the Lincoln Co team that just beat McCreary by 15 or so last week. I'm a little more impressed with Southwestern's performance than McCreary's.

Let's keep the discussion on SW-Lincoln.

Terrible scenario for Lincoln, SW played a box and 1 and Lincoln was content with sticking Spurlin in the lane and letting the others Jack up 3's all night. The few they hit in the first half was fools gold, 3 for 3 looks good in the first quarter 3 for 10 for the game does not.

 

With all that said the game was still in reach midway through the 4th quarter when Lincoln just completely quit, I know that sounds harsh but anyone who was there would have to agree. It was very similiar to the Garrard County game @ Garrard Co.

 

Looking on the bright side, we now know how Lincoln can not beat SW.
