I agree...another reason I see the Beechies winning. Covcath just really doesn't have anyone who can guard both Romes and Beuttel. I also see Smith making it tough for both Isler and Wellbrock inside because of his size. Look for either Pohlgeers or Snyder to to step up and be the "X-Factor" in this one.

I agree. I was thinking the 3pt FG were included with the FG as well, which would mean he only takes 24 shots a game. Either way, I think he could very well be considered the best shooter and scorer in the state. His stats pretty impressive. He's been held under 20 points just twice this year.

The team he plays on isn't exactly one of the better ones in NKY, hence him having to take a lot of shots. He has a very good all around game though: 31 ppg 6 rpg (Remember he's only 5'9) 4 apg 2 spg 1 bpg Not bad if you ask me. IMO he's the best scorer in the state. Only weakness is his free throw shooting: 172-291 59.1% FT

Actually Ferg might not be the best scorer in the state either. There's a kid in nky by the name of Blake Bryan who's a junior at Villa Madonna, that is currently averaging 31 ppg. He also plays on a not so good team which means he is seeing double and triple teams every night. Thought you might be interested in seeing his stats: 778 points through 25 games. Hatton isn't a very big kid. He's naturally going to have a high arch on his shot. Sorrell of SK, Riley of Holmes, Ferguson of EC, and Meyer of Franklin Co are the same way.

Holmes doesn't play an uptempo game because more often than not, it makes them start taking bad shots, which also affects their defense. As much as fans want to see Henley "let em' loose", the game plan they're using now is the one they're going to be most successful with. It's also tough for them to play an uptempo style because they really don't have the depth to keep running like that all game.

Either way Holmes still has the most region titles : Holmes 11 Highlands 9 Covcath 8 Newcath 8
