I think E-town, MC, and Holmes replaced WV, BB, and HHS on the schedule and SK has replaced Boone as a scrimmage. Of course, I will wait till I see it before I consider it in stone.

I sortof think BW stopped the Mayfield rushing attack also...105 total and 3/4 in the last qtr NCC wins because MF wouldn't control the line of scrimmage...of course, IMO.

1st play 50-60 yard pass play for Hazard...next play a fumble and MF recovers...Wow! exactly like last week against BW

Sorry Snake..I didn't mean how you read it and I can see why after reading it again. I meant "very doubtful you will lose tomorrow"...not 11 or 12. I can't think that far out to comment on 12. BW will lose a load after next season so no way I will comment on '12.

I think if they don't win at least 1 title in those 2 years, the fans would be very disappointed... Very doubtful it will happen, but how disappointed will Card fans be if they don't win Friday and walk away empty handed with this back-to-back great team?

I agree, we will wait a while because you guy's have business to take care of and we don't. However, after taking a quick glance at the MF roster, you are graduating pretty much every "key" position so replacing all those playmakers and repeating will be tough, but it can be done. Anymore Arkansas Razorbacks in the near future?

Like I said, I felt the exact same way about Jackson, however, I am open-minded enough to believe that your fans have seen him enough to know he's very special. Vocke is very special, but in one game, anyone can "appear" mediocre.

It looks like there will be a tremendous loss of talent and holes to fill after next season.

QB will be very very solid...also, we have at least 2 solid centers. Now, If we can catch the ball and stop the opponent from catching it, we'll be pretty good

Come on TP...47 yards on 10 carries in the 1st half against what is arguably the greatest 1A team ever assembled, with potentially the best MLB in MF history, is not too bad If I read correctly, MF had 367 rushing yards last year and 105 this year (probably 3/4 of those on the final 2 drives) against a pretty small inexperienced defense. Do you stand behind the post from another MF fan that you guys are "wayyyy" better than last year? No way! Shelton was a one-man wrecking crew last year. Vocke was hyped and you were disapointed because he looked average, but BW fans know he's better. Jackson was hyped and I for one was disappointed because I was looking for a kid cutout of Shelton's mold, but MF fans know he's better. Peyton Manning looked less than average against SD 2 days ago and he's a HOF'er. Neither kid is an average HS player so we can stop saying that... Bottomline: MF did what good teams do and that was capitalize on mistakes and forced BW into being one-dimensional with their less-than capable passing game. BW shtudown the running game, but wasn't able to contain your speed & experience with our secondary which all BW fans know has been an achilles heel against good QB's. We can do all the would've/could've/should've's we want, but in the end BW didn't rise to the occasion and didn't seem to have that fire in their gut like the NCC and FF games. Intimidated? I don't think so, but perhaps. IMO, MF wins 2 out of 3 times if it's best-of-three...But, we just don't have that luxury. I hope like heck you get your doors blown off again this year, but with so much senior leadership/experience at pretty much every key position like LCA had last year...I just don't see it happening again this year. Be safe and hope both teams stay injury-free.

Come on R57...you beat us fair and square...enjoy the win and have class. I thought this stuff would be beneath you. 2-3 huge momentum swings and it's a different game (per your coach as well). The stats of the game weren't so overwhelming like last year. I thought the stats would be hugely lopsided in favor of the Card's until I read the article. Congrat's!

Definitely meaningless TP...I would guess the vast majority of the polls go by records "only" and with 3 losses BW looks bad on paper. Oh well, have a safe trip. It's already nasty weather here and by Friday night I guess it will be frozen tundra.

As a matter fact last year before the game I talked to a few fans, they said no way was Mayfield gonna win, I call it arrogance, but others call it confidence. Anyway, the example you gave about what some BW fans said last year is exactly what I posted earlier and for the most part some didn't think I was accurate. I knew for a fact "some" fans/players felt they weren't going to lose. I thought "maybe" since we were hammering 1A teams they felt that way. I've finally sat down to watch a Mayfield game on the internet. They are very very good. I still like BW's discipline and ability to adapt and adjust on the fly so I have a glimmer of hope. I don't buy that MHS has a stud injured for this game. I think it's another sandbag just like NCC tried to pull with their top stud and he had a miraculous recovery. Both teams will be healthy, at full stength, and popping on all cylinders. The winner will have earned it. That being said, we've hashed this thing for 14 weeks and some have for nearly 363 days. I've honestly said all I have to say so I'm "calling it a day". If we keep it close we have a shot and if it's a blowout it won't be because the boys quit. Good luck TP, Snake, and R57! have a safe trip! I hope your drive home is long and quiet like mine was last year, but since Mayfield can't lose...I guess I'm dreaming
