Let’s clarify something here. The problem wasn’t running pass plays versus run plays. The biggest issue is the design of the plays and complete dismissal of a short passing game that is not a screen to running back or bubble screen to outside. If it is third and 10, you don’t run go routes and just throw the ball in the neighborhood. How about several intermediate routes and find the open receiver? Move the chains and keep the drive alive. All of this falls squarely on the person calling and designing the plays in my book.

A mishandled snap is not on the kicker is what I am referencing. Actually thought the kid was pretty solid last week on PAT and kickoffs.

Okay there seems to be some dispute on legal versus illegal depending on what part of the state you come from. Been told that NKY officials discussed at a recent meeting and said play was not legal. At end of the day, it did not impact the final result. Apparently many can learn from this situation and it may be addressed differently down the road.

The RPO play that was run, why I have no idea, needs to be removed from the playbook. Have run it twice and each time for negative yards that put you behind the sticks. This team is talented and can win the state championship. Final result doesn’t matter and things can be learned from it by players and most importantly coaches.

The problem with TMU football is they want to be D2, but recruit at D3 level. They struggled in NAIA before the move to D2.
