If this game were at WV i'd pick the Lady Bearcats, but at highlands, who knows. If you watched the NCC vs WV game you gotta believe Kiernan would not have gotten in foul trouble if she were playing in the 9th Region. Different regions, different officiating styles. IMHO This game could go either way.

I'm new to BGP and thought with the free trial i'd give it a go. I'm a W-V fan but follow a lot of teams in NKY (8th, 9th, and 10th Regions) W-V has knocked off a few of the top 9th Region teams this season (NDA and NCC). How do you out there in BGP land think the Lady Bearcats will do vs the Lady Birds tomorrow.

I apparently got some bad info on her playing freshmen earlier in the year, and for that I apologize, but I stand by the gist of the statement, that if you're good enough to start varsity you have no business playing in a freshmen tournament and most coaches would not risk injuring a key player to win a freshmen game.

Yes it's true, sort of. The player did severely hurt her ankle, but it's not broken. Hopefully she will be back for districts. Varsity starter who did not play in freshmen games this year. Not sure what the goal was other than to win a freshmen game, but at what cost? I hate it for the player, but dare I say the coaches got what they deserved.

Someone suggested that Conner's weak schedule could come back to haunt them come tournament time. Do you think Boone's schedule was tougher or is the advantage just to Coach Fookes and her years of coaching experience.

Judy owned the paint. NCC had no answer for her down low. Kiernan could only foul her or watch her score. When kiernan was out Mayes tried to guard her but W-V just pounded it inside. The game was definitely won and lost by the posts. It was great to see Sandlin playing at such a high level again.

This could easily be fixed by the tournament organizers choosing one option or the other: A.). This tournament is for ANY freshmen or younger players in your program regardless of their experience Or B.). This tournament is meant for players who played on the freshmen team throughout the season Just make a rule. Not that hard.

The preliminaries have been being played all month at different sites and times, some of them as part of regular season games, but as far as the final tournament, I don't know.

It worked for Boone Co against NCC. They didnt guard them at all I heard let them shoot all night long and Boone won. I watched Conner do the same strategy and Conner won. But I have watched NCC twice this year. If you don't have bigs that can slow those two down inside you have to pick your poison. You also have to have a player that can break down NCC man defense and beat someone to force others to help and kick for open shots. If you don't have these two you have very little chance against NCC IMO.

I think RCC9 is venting because the small schools in the 36th hold NCC and Highlands to a draw format. So they get their "cake" and eat all A too.

That wasn't the all A the boys from Hickory were playing in. That's was the real state tourney. Not sure I'm getting your point on that. I think it was a good idea but has expanded into to many schools. Most of the time the private schools dominate anyway. It was made for schools that didnt have a chance to get to the state tourney. Almost every year 2-4 of these teams make the state tourney. I would say all these teams have a chance but 4 or 5 to win their regions this year. It's a cool tourney that now has a rich tradition but to hide behind the poor pitiful me I'm a small school and have no chance is crazy.

I guess coach is a victim of his own success. Brossart is 16-4. Won the All A 10th region. Also, I heard a couple kids didnt play due to injury and they wanted to make sure they were health for the all A state. I wasn't there all hearsay. Brossart got beat by a 15-3 team and they question the coach and his adjustments. Maybe the players and coaches were looking ahead to the game against Murray, maybe Murray had a scout there. Heck maybe your right brossarts coach isn't very good and has just been really lucky the past couple years. If he's that lucky he would have won the lottery by now. Love how when someone loses a game people hit the panic button on the coach.

It would be Highlands and ND. Both did it so I would guess that Tiger 1 has no respect for either coach from that statement.

I had no idea until i asked someone what had bappeend to BC. Then someone really spelled it out quiet clear the other night. No big transfers have come into BC the last two years so they are struggling to stay at that high level.

Respect is givin to those who play a tough schedule, if you're good you seek out other good teams out of the area to play, maybe Conner didnt respect itself when the schedule was made. The weak out if area schedule it put together leaves a lot to be desired. I found the overall records for the opponents of teams and strength of schedule for some of the areas best teams. Conner 150-142 SOS 9.9 ND 132-83 SOS 21.5 Highlands 192-120 SOS 19.6 Ncc 190-111 SOS 18.1 SK 158-129 SOS 9 Brossart 157-140 SOS 10.2 Holy Cross 119-113 SOS 9.6 Boone Co 160-101 SOS 21.2 Ryle 143-94 SOS 17.3 Looks to me like the teams that play the toughest schedules (out of area) seem to be getting the most respect, win or lose. Conner has a really nice team but until they take on the best they will struggle to gain respect. It is what it is, perception is everything. Not really impressed with the out of area schedule of St Patrick, Trimble Co, Tates Creek, Madison Southern, Harrison Co. Australian National Team, Lawrenceburg IN and McNicholas OH. They need to beef it up to get the respect some are asking for. Again Conner has a nice team and are well coached but until they play, win or lose, the best true respect will be hard to get.

Most of those teams haven't played a tough schedule. I will give it to Marion Co. With who they have played that's impressive. Hats off to them.

Really surprised by the margin as well. Mason has been playing some very good basketball. I will interested to see how HHS does against Ryle tonight.

Would the HC coach get into trouble if he had just blasted the refs in the interview after the game.
