I think Waa Waa is more appropriate with all the crying you do. From what I hear you can just follow a few of the current NCC Players as they drive south on I75 to go to school at WV each day. And as long as he performs up to the standard of excellence expected at WV he will have a long and prosperous career. Based on his past performance the WV faithful have gotten a good one. Try not to be so jealous Waa Waa, it is unbecoming.

Jumpman, it's nice to see that some people on here are able to read AND comprehend what they are reading. Obviously others preconceived ideas inhibit their understanding. Sorry Wa Wa, I'm sure you dont understand that either, but maybe if you re-read it aloud a few times, sounding out the words, it will click.

You ever notice how these schools that get accused of having parents who are always bashing the coaches (ie WV, Highlands, Beechwood) are also the schools that are ranked the highest academically as well. Perhaps the parents there are just unwilling to settle for mediocrity whether it is in the classroom or on the playing fields. Maybe they just have pride in their schools and have high expectations for themselves, their kids, their coaches, teachers, and schools. I'm not sure it is a bad thing to strive to be the best in everything you do. Maybe if parents at other schools cared more it would be reflected in their test scores as well as their teams performance.

That will be interesting.

NDA's success will depend on who their coach is.

Sk, Anderson, and Gallatin lead the way in the 8th next year. I see Gallatin doing more than winning the All "A" Regional with what they have coming back.

That's absurd. NDA is bigger, stronger, and more athletic than HHS. A talented group of players to be sure, but look at what Coach Richey was able to accomplish with 2 freshmen starting. I'd say she gets more out of her players. It doesn't take much to coach the talent that NDA has.

I think the same could be said about DuPont Manual, Beechwood, and Highlands. People just love to hate them due to their success across the board.

Unless it's not just about girls basketball. Sure WV has had success in girls basketball, but I think they are pretty good in other sports as well. Does the NCKC have a winner for All Sports Combined? If so how does WV do in that? How does WV compare to the rest of the 8th Region Academically? ACT scores? State Assessments?

Well, on two levels: 1st it is a rematch of the freshmen tourney from last year only HHS has some players who played frosh last year who arent playing jv this year (Adler, Coffey, and a few others) and 2nd there was some controversy about SK playing kids down for the frosh tournament last year (see thread on freshmen tourney) But i still say no way Coach Richey would move them down and risk them getting hurt to win a JV game. Not to mention it just wouldnt be right and would be way out of character for her.

Now i doubt this would happen, but someone suggested that Since its senior night and Adler and Coffey wont be starting Varsity, might they play down?

If they set the record for most wins in a season for a GCHS team i doubt it will last long. This team will be even better next year with another year's experience under their belt.

Girl's HS basketball is such a mental and emotional game. I'm not sure Conner can recover from these late season beat downs. If they don't beat NCC (who is also struggling) I say you can stick a fork in the Cougars for this season. Nell has to be drooling.

I'd say holy cross is in the hunt along with NDA, Highlands, Conner, NCC, and even Boone. The 9th Region is wide open.

I would say it is what I would have expected. Gallatin packed it in and played solid defense against WV's bigs, leaving the perimeter shots available, so WV took them. Conversely WV lived in Hannah Dosset's shirt, and double teamed her often to get her to pass the ball daring someone else to beat them. Great strategies by both coaching staffs. Good execution by both sets of players. Factor in a few questionable calls both ways and a technical foul on the bench and WV comes out the winner. Great game, and good luck to both teams in the tournament.

Final score from Ft Thomas. Highlands 44 WV 40 Good game. But highlands at home was just too much for the Lady Bearcats todaay. Good luck to both teams as they head into their last weeks of the regular season.

I'm not sure that's it. Just more attention paid to marquee players.
