I will take Letcher by 5, just because I like a good upset. I know it wouldn't be a real big upset because Letcher is pretty tough, but JBS still has to be a slight favorite

Owsley should be a better team next season with Noble running things from the point. I think he will be the best player on the Owls team.

Would section 21 be a decent seat?

Where was this game played? I thought Buckhorn would win, but I also thought it would be a close game.

Big win for Breathitt tonight. Estill shot the ball extremely well, must of made close to 15 threes. Breathitt looked like they have finally found some chemistry. This win has to give Breathitt some momentum going into district play. Anyone have stats on the game?

Breathitt has been up and down, but so has Wolfe. I think Breathitt will win it and then win the district finals against Jackson.

Should be a great game, but I think Jackson squeaks by.

I picked Lee on a previous thread, but the more I think about how much better Powell is at home and how Lee doesn't play that well on the road I think I will go with Powell. Lee has not been very successful in the district in recent years either, so I think definitely Powell wins it.

I think Hazard will win it and I also think they have the best shot of all the 14th region teams at winning games in Rupp. They have the best athletes and the deepest bench. Al has been to Rupp several times, but this is probably the best draw he has ever had.

I agree with the ville. The fans should get behind these kids that are playing and stop all the negative talk.

Who is Mr Back and Cecil Clair? I have never heard of them. This whole thread makes no sense. Kyle Lively is the only name that would remotely be a name of interest as a new coach at Breathitt and he doesn't seem to be as high on the list of big name coaches as he was when Jackson had their good tournament run. I find it hard to believe that the administration is recruiting new coaching candidates at this time. It is almost district tournament time, which Breathitt should win, and I don't see the administration causing ny distractions that may disrupt their chances of making the regional tournament again.

Noble is an excellent player, but sitting out an entire season especially not being able to practice could make things a little tough in the beginning. I think he will get back in the groove, but it will take a little time.

Haven't heard anything on Jordan.

I love a underdog also. Who knows what will happen. I believe that Menifee beat Riverside by 19 and they just beat Jackson by 22. Does this mean that Riverside can beat Jackson? I don't know, but I will be cheering for Riverside. GO RAMS!

It is hard to say what a true point guard should do. Stepp at JBS takes 80% of their shots, Whitaker at Hazard shots and dribbles a lot as well as delivers the ball to other people, Stamper scores a lot at Knott, but I think the key for a point guard is committing few turnovers. Maybe Breathitt can salvage the season and make a run with what they have and maybe they can't, but I do believe the region is starting to become anybody's at this point. Perry has won 3 big games in a row with the win against Knott tonight and they have only won 8 or 9 games. Who knows who will emerge at tournament time.

I've been around a long time and I don't recall it ever happening. Could be the cinderella year for the Rams. Good Luck

If Riverside beat Jackson, would that be their first trip to the regional tournament?

Breathitt was 5-5 when they quit. I don't disagree that it hurt when Fugate quit, but he was not their answer for a point guard. If he would have stuck with it, he may have developed, but I guess we will never know. I hope he is successful wherever he decides to play next year.

This is a surprise to me. This is only the third win for Menifee after beating Owsley and Riverside earlier in the year. Has Menifee improved or did Jackson just have a bad night.
