  1. I for one really enjoyed seeing some of the former players. It was a great crowd and a lot of fun. Hope they do it again sometime.
  2. I sure hope he is o.k. Seems like a great kid who has never received the credit he deserves.
  3. I totally agree - the boys and girls articles both have numerous errors. Don't believe there was any research put into this at all. Curious as to how the information is gathered and how the top 10 is chosen. This is not only for the 8th region but other regions as well. I've been getting this publication for several years now and this is one of the worst as far as errors go.
  4. I've heard very good things about Russell. Looking forward to seeing him play at this game. Good luck to both teams!
  5. Good luck to both teams. HC will win this one even though Owen is much better this year.
  6. We are so sorry to hear this. We going to make a special trip to see him this year. We wish him good luck in his future career, at U of L!
  7. Let us not forget Senior Andy Sistenstein - who had an outstanding summer. He will be the go to guy in addition to Wise.
  8. While there is no denying the quickness and bball IQ of Gallatin, just to keep it real, it should be pointed out that Carroll has been playing all summer without Proctor. Also Craig and Wise (due to baseball). The first game when GC beat CC by 20, I think they were also without Sistenstein and Grant due to football. If I'm not mistaken Yeager was the only returning varsity player that day along with E. Stewart who saw some varsity playing time. The 2nd game you mention that CC lost by 30 they (Carroll) had just beaten Grant and then turned around and played Gallatin. And since we are keeping it real, they probably did have Sistenstein and Grant back from football camp -- not sure on this. The young CC guys have really stepped up and they should be commended. Just curious -- how many Gallatin players are missing? Good luck in the upcoming season.
  9. Does anyone know who got all tourney for Gallatin and Carroll? No one at work has heard as of this morning.
  10. Shelby County proceeds on to the finals against Anderson County
  11. The Wise kid is gonna be one heck of a baseball player by the time he is a senior. We arrived during the last inning of CC's game and he can sure throw hard. Don't remember him pitching much in previous game. He will be fun to watch in the future.
  12. Good job Wildcats. You've improved game by game and you came through when you needed to.
  13. JV ball is a great opportunity for kids who just love to play the game to continue beyond h.s.
  14. Congrats to both young men. Its great to see student/athletes from our area continue their education and play their sport at the next level (if they so desire).
  15. Congratulations Chris. You have always represented your school, yourself and your family in a tremendous way. I know the basketball team (and baseball team) will miss you. Good luck in whatever the future brings! It was a pleasure to watch you the last 4years whenever our teams have met.
  16. "If you have the talent and you work hard, people are going to see you and find you,” This quote from the article is so true. Its too bad more parents don't understand this. The gravitation to the top programs has been detrimental in some ways to high school sports at the smaller schools. Mr. Jones and family, you are to be commended. It speaks very well of the type of person you are and demonstrates that you really do see the big picture in life and sports.
  17. This is just so bad for the kids who attend Eminence. A great argument for a change to this district.
  18. Keep up the good work! You all are lookin good.
