If there has been a total team victory for Carroll County this year it was this game. Every in the lineup for Carroll made positive contributions to this victory. To be able to come from behind in the last inning after losing the lead in the sixth, says alot about this team. Hendrick pitched 5 outstanding innings before Oldham could do any damage. Oldham struck for 3 in the 6th taking a 3-2 lead into the seventh but a walk and a throwing error allowed the tying run to score and the winning run to advance to third. The go ahead run scored on Zach Wises' second RBI of the day. Wise was also able to come in and shut down Oldham in the 7th 1,2,3.

Possibly the biggest play of the game was a tremendous running catch by Cody Boles on a ball hit deep in the RCF gap. This happened in Oldhams sixth inning rally and although a runner tagged and scored from third there was also a runner on first who had to retreat because he was already to second when the ball was caught.

He had an RBI today and ya the injury is fine, nothin a little green ice pack wouldn't take care of.

Carroll County would probably be considered the favorite to win the 8th region right? if not, Anderson County right?

Ethan Stewart also had an RBI for the Panthers and Zach Wise had 2 RBI's. Jesse Proctor and Ethan Stewart both had 2 runs scored for the Panthers. Good solid ball hitting and base running through the whole through line up - bottom to top! Way to go Panthers!!:ylsuper:

The teams thst sre remaning(Shelby and Anderson) have not pitched their ace yet. I think that Carroll did today. It was a exciting game and both pitchers did a fine job. In the Anderson vs N.Oldham game if the first baseman and 3rd baseman don't make errors then maybe North wins that one. Also a great game. The pitcher for North is a good kid and clocked him in the high 80's.
