I always like to watch UHA play. To me this is not an upset at all. I think UHA is a top 15 team that has a chance to make a deep run at Rupp if they can come together as team. I have seen them twice this year and they didn't disappoint with wins over Adair and Tates Creek. Hopson did a really good job in guarding Ballou in the post in the Adair Co. game. He can play good defense on the inside and out. Edmonson should be an allstate player and they have a lot of help too. I know St. Henry has been on a mini roll as of late but with earlier losses this year to St. Pat, Westen Hills, and St. X I didn't expect them to give UHA much of a challenge.

Wonder how Lincoln beat Madison Central so bad.

I have only seen them in the two Montgomery County games. I also thought Williams was a sr., guess I was wrong.

They aren't bad at the top but then they get ugly quick!

I'm not saying Montgomery should be higher than 25 I just think GRC should be much, much lower. Losses to #147 Rowan Co. and #101 N. Laurel do not help the Cardinals.

I agree Paintsville is a legit top 15 team. I think UHA and Shelby Valley (despite the loss to Pikeville) should be in the top 20.

GRC has lost to unranked North Laurel, Rowan, Franklin Co., LCA, and #25 Montgomery Co. (twice). They have one win over a top 25 team and that is Madison Central in overtime when the Indians were missing their top 2 players (of course Simpson has been out all year). Maybe Cantrell is from Clark County!

Next year's series will be like all meetings between these teams normally are. Close. GRC has two good ones coming back in Stenzel and Hatton, after that I haven't been too impressed with any of their underclassmen. MCHS has Rash, Hendrix and company. These teams could be battling for a regional title.

These teams seem to be pretty evenly matched.

Great win for the Indians. Blain Stull had 9 assists, Josh Clark played on a slightly tweaked ankle, Brandon Rash played solid, Crisp was a zone buster. Total team effort.

Pikeville beat Shelby Valley and almost beat Paintsville. Is Pikeville really good or did Valley and Paintsville just have off nights?

I hope the Indians win but it is never easy when these two teams get together. I sure hope Josh Clark and Brandon Rash can stay out of foul trouble because Rash needs to be guarding Stenzel and Josh Clark really did some damage in the first game. I have to go with the Indians by 4 points. I wonder if the Clark County coach is going to press this time around. They played a two three zone last time but Cody Curtis put a dent in it with some early threes. MCHS is going to have to watch Hatton and Bennett on the perimeter. I hope the Indians play man-to-man defense. Also the students get pretty crazy for this one I hope no one gets in a fight after the game. If anyone wants to see an intense rivalry come to Mt. Sterling tonight and check out our new gym.

I get really tired of Mason fans bringing up the region final last year and saying that disproves home court advantage. That is the exception rather than the rule. Everyone talks like it was some major upset or something. That is crazy. Preston Knowles, Tristan Jones, Robelle Rogers, Robbie Stenzel and company were a solid ballclub that could match up well with the Royals. Give that team some credit. If it was more common for the away team to win then it seems like Royals fans would be begging to have the region in Mt. Sterling every year. For some reason I don't think that is going to happen.

Rowan won but when looking at which team is better you have to look at an entire season. Also I was not at the game nor am I a Clark County fan but I must say that the best team on a certain night doesn't always win. There could be injuries, illness, suspensions, terrible calls, terrible coaching, an off night shooting, a bad game plan, the other team shooting the lights out, etc. that is why we have upsets in basketball.

Of course it doesn't guarantee a win. But it sure doesn't hurt. Why do pro teams only rest their starters after they have clinched home court advantage? It helps a lot. In the NBA where teams play an even # of home and away games the home team has a record of 360-256.

Defenders continue their dominance over Henry Clay. Wonder if Henry Clay kept pressing Bryan Station. The game I watched earlier this year Mack burned the Devil's press time and time again setting up a lot of points and assists for him. I'm not a coach but I don't think the way to beat the Defenders is to allow Mack to find wide open teammates.

I read in an article that Mack wanted to get out of the state. I don't know if UK ever contacted him or not but from the article it appears like he wouldn't have come anyway.

Madisonville North Hopkins. He is getting looks from a lot of big time programs.

I agree it should go to the best player but I think some voters get their judgement clouded.

Well I have no idea. Considering that BC beat RH by 18 and EC beat BC by 40 it seems like Elliott should have beat Rose Hill by a lot of points. What is going on in this region? I'm going with Bath based on really no good reason except I would like to see them make it to Richmond and with the draw either team could win a game or two at EKU.

I thought Dunbar was for real after almost beating Station earlier in the year. The score is very surprising considering the game was at PLD.
