I just want to search for the truth with an open mind. Not fighting, just trying to discern what is actually in the bible and what is not.

I believe you are. I think historians can narrow it down to within a couple of years but I think the exact day or year is unknown.

You aren't wrong but if you want the Father to hear you must go through your mediator Jesus Christ.

The bible tells us to go into all the world and spread the gospel. It doesn't say specifically how to spread the gospel. It just says to spread the gospel. I am trying to spread God's word through the internet. In some areas God gives us general commandments. In others, such as appointing elders, order in church worship, etc. he is very specific.

For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. 1 Tim 2:5 For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance—now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant. In the case of a will, it is necessary to prove the death of the one who made it, because a will is in force only when somebody has died; it never takes effect while the one who made it is living. This is why even the first covenant was not put into effect without blood. Heb 9:15-18

The only way to the Father is through Jesus Christ, "I am the way the truth and life no man comes to the Father except by me." Matthew also tells us to ask and it will be given unto you. James tells us if we ask amiss it will not be granted to us. So sure we can pray for sick family members. We pray to God, for our family, through Jesus Christ. We don't pray to, for, or through Mary according to the bible.

My stance, if it's in the bible, do it. If it's not in the bible, don't do it.

Leviticus is in the OT which also demanded not working on the Sabboth (Saturday) and animal sacrifice. Christians are now to live under the NT.

Agree. Adultery is a sin also. I don't know why people practice it. 1 John warns us to watch out for the lust of the eye, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life. While no one is perfect in all things, save Christ, we need to do our best to abstain from evil.

If people don't believe that the bible is God's word then I can see why they would not want to interfere with homosexual unions. What gets me (and the peopel I am speaking to) is people who do believe in the bible but still support homosexual unions. Did God mispeak in the bible?

The bible does not say what day of the year Christ was born on. 4. The bible does not say what day of the year Christ rose (only what day of the week he rose and that it was during the passover).

The church isn't built upon a man who denied Jesus three times or who was called out by Paul for hypocropsy (sp) in the book of Acts. It is built on the fact that Jesus is the Christ!

Mason is about a 11-20 team in the state IMO.

I like the SEC the best but I think it is going to be a big year for the big 12. Should be pretty close to even. UGA v OU UF v Missouri LSU v Tex UT v Kan Aub v Tex Tech Looks to be pretty even at the top. I would say that in the middle and the bottom the SEC is a little better though. Teams like MSU, UK, SC should be formidable in the SEC this year. The Big 12 does have a good quarterback returning on almost all of their teams and they have arguably the best 2 WR's in the nation. It should be a fun year to watch Big 12 football even though I don't like the Big 12.
