I agree Coach Allison should be in the HOF. But Deming has never been in the regional championship. They have been to the semis a couple of times.

They were not pulled down. They have played in all the Freshman games that Deming has had. If they did not play then they would not have enough to field a team. Would that be fair to the other Freshman?

When the district was realigned the only school that got the chance at the rotation was Harrison. They got it for 5 years. So they have it this year and then the next two. When they had the meeting three years ago Nicholas turned down their chance to host. Deming wanted to but was voted down by Nicholas and Pendleton (maybe Harrison also). Pendleton was voted down by everyone. So that is why Harrison Co. gets to host for 5 years.

Sounds like St Pat has let up since the Class A. Close win over Augusta and the this lose to Lloyd. Think Coach Hinson has his work cut out for him to get his Saints focused before District or it could be another quick exit.

The game will be played as scheduled. I think that it meant it had been postponed from the previous time back in December.

You have your opinion and I greatly respect that. But from personal experience I have alittle problem with some of the "respectable" Private Schools. I'm going to leave it at that or I will probably not get to post for awhile.

Then you have nothing but a babysitting service. Parents drop off the younger kids and come back and pick them up in a few hours. Good deal for parents.

I know that Deming won the 38th and Mason Co. won the 39th. Congratulations to both teams. I was wondering if anyone knows if the 37th and 40th have had their tournaments and who won? Also, where will the region be at?

Wonder what Chris would have done if he got to play his 8th grade year?

Here is the complete story. Deming is a small school. Which is no secret to most of you. Last night was the first freshman game they have had this year. So they have not taken a spot from anyone. They had others scheduled but were cancelled for various reasons. The "varsity starters" had the intentions to play the entire freshman schedule. There are only 5 freshman on the team the other 2 players are 8th graders. So if Deming dosen't play the two then they don't have enough for a team. Is that fair to the other? They are not breaking any rule. So why is everyone crying over this? I remember Nicholas County back in the early 90's. There was a good ballplayer by the name of Daniel Brown who started varsity I believe Brad Allison did also. They both started varsity and only lost one freshman game the entire season. I never heard anyone cry over that. So what gives?

I agree! Seems alittle petty to me. There are alot more important things to discuss. By the way I think its funny that Mustang is harping on this. I remember a few years back when Brossart was the host and few of the all tournament members could not receive their award because they could not get into the gym. This was the year Brossart and Silver Grove were in the finals.

Congrats to Coach Johnson and the Devils! Reached double digit wins for the 3rd time in 4 years. May not sound like much of a feat to some on BGP but this is only the 6th time since 1988 that the Devils have had 10+ wins. Don't stop here. Keep working hard and preparing for the District. Good Luck to Augusta and Coach Kelsch the rest of the season.

I think they should. I don't know about the rule or what it was meant for. However, IMO I think it teaches the kids some self respect to a certain extent and keeps them from looking like slobs.

I noticed on the KHSAA site that Piarist had forfeited their last two games. One being in the All "A" against South Floyd. Can anyone in the 15th give us any info?

It would be easy to seed districts. Some districts already do that. I just don't see how the All "A" could be seeded. It would be hard for all the teams to play each other before that time. With some needed to get district and conference games in. Someone mentioned on another thread having the coaches get together a cople of weeks before and seeding on their opinions. IMO that could get very touchy or political to a certain extent. This year was a rare year in which the 4 best teams were all in the same bracket. Plus, some having an easier way than others in that very same bracket. You just have to suck it up and go on. To win tournaments you have to be good and lucky. Brossart is just that. They are a sound and well coached team that got the luck of meeting a St. Patrick team that had already had two big games that week. But when it is all said and done. Brossart did what they had to do. They won their games and now they are off to Richmond. I wish them nothing but Luck in representing the 10th Region next week.

Somebody from St. Patrick please answer this for me. Is it St. Pat or St. Pats? Just curious.

Have to admit thought Elloitt would represent the 16th in Richmond. THis has to be the SHOCKER thus far in ALL "A".
