They consider a school with 424 or less in grades 10-12 as Class A eligible. IMO it should be 424 or less in grades 9-12 or even 400 or less. That's why we see schools with 600 plus in the All A. If your AA or AAA in football how can you be A in basketball? Makes no sense to me IMO.

The 10th region seems to be loaded with quality Sophmores. Stenzil, Purcis, Zollo, and Rogers of GRC Kings and Caldwell of Deming Gilbert and Setty of Mason Co. I'm sure their are others deserving to be listed as well.

The refs by no means cost Deming the game. As a fan your never going to be completely happy with the officials. However, they called a respectable game. They in no way persuaded the outcome of the game.

IMO the 9th region teams need to travel down state more often during the regular season. I know some already do this but they need to do so more. This will let them see the style other areas play and officiating as well. Then when the 9th gets to Rupp they will know what to expect. Alot of the 9th region teams can schedule their entire season and have less than a 25 minute ride to their farthest game. It helps with travel. But it dosen't help prepare for Rupp.

I think Deming will be just fine when it comes to the District. You are always questioing Coach Johnson. What would you do? Who would you want to have the ball in crucial situations for Deming? Seems you have all the answers why don't you share it with the rest of us. It really grips me that when Deming wins 6 in a row there are very few to no post on here. Very few positive. But when the Devils lose everyone wants to add there 2 cents and rip some of the players and coaching staff. You have to take the good with the bad.

First of all congrats to CC. A very hard working team that got the job done. Good Luck in Richmond. To the Devils keep your head up high. You have made the people of Robertson Co. proud and will continue to do so. Remember there is plenty of basketball to be played. Put this behind you and get ready for the postseason. There is no doubt that you can be District Champs. What doesn't kill you only make you stronger, and the experience of this past week will help you down the road.

Mason's bench will get plenty PT in this one.

Very proud of the Black Devils. They could have tucked their tales an ran when they were down 9 late. But they toughed it out and won a thriller against a very disciplined team. Brossart has nothing to be ashamed of and I am sure they will have much success the rest of the season. Now Deming has to forget about tonight and get prepared for a very scrappy Calvary Christian team.

What's your beef with Deming? I guess they have found the nut 12 times this year.

No need to put Deming in that statement. They beat Nicholas Co. with and without Campbell. By the way Campbell has a high ankle sprain. Don't know the time frame for his return.

I bet they would have went to Riverside last night if that was who they were supposed to play.

I remember two straight years when St. Pat was by far the better team and lost to Augusta in the District. Deming by far the better team and gets by Nicholas County in the District. Deming has three straight trips to the Region. So answer this question who has won the big games?

Congratulations to the Lady Devils and Coach Thomas Mitchell. Looks like Mitchell has the Lady Devils heading in the right direction. They will only get better as the year goes along. With a young nucleus this program will be tough to beat over the next few years. Keep up the good work Lady Devils!

The Kings never started as 7th graders let alone even dressed varsity. They did play j.v. their 7th grade year. They were the 6th and 7th man on varsity their 8th grade year and started j.v. Last year as Freshman were the first time they started varsity.

Kyle King hits a 3 with 5 seconds to go to get the win for Deming. Congrats to the Devils on the hard fought win.

Congrats to Robin and AHS. Always tough to get the win at Pendleton.
