Deming 61 St Patrick 58

Congrats to Deming on the win; good job by the Saints to keep it close on the road.

Seems like these two teams are always playing close games. They are pretty evenly matched.

What was up with the coaches arguing with each other after the game, until someone separated them! Come on guys you are the adults and need to set the example for the kids! As for the kids, this was a good game. Deming played better defense. What I don't understand is why St. Pat stood and held the ball for 2 minutes at the end of the first half when they were behind. This was very boring to watch!

Holding the ball was probably good strategy. If St. Pat has the ball, the King boys cant score. :D

Close game that shouldn't have been. I have got to give Coach Hinson alot of credit, he gets the most out of what he's got. Deming still can't put a solid game together . Big controversy at the end, a few redfaced coaches after the final horn. Big excitement in the little town of Mt.Olivet.

Very odd for Coach Hinson To hold the ball against anyone, let alone it being Deming. Said on radio only way he could play with Deming was keep the score in the 40's or 50's

Do Hinson and Johnson have a history? Coach Hinson did coach a little while at Deming.

What do you mean close game that shouldn't have been? St. Pat played a very good second half and gave it all they had, each team played well and deverved to win the game. Of course it should have been a close game, that is kind of disrespect towards St. Pat.

Both the Gallensteins had good games as did Stephen Mason.

Id take Hinson any day of the week and twice on Sunday. He sure can coach. What I would like to see and we wont, is let these two coaches switch and see what the outcome would be. Im sure there is some animosity between the two. Jason coached at Deming for a couple years, and probably shouldve been offered the job.

He doesn't seem to play "stall-ball" against Mason County, from what I've seen.

I bolded the first part. It seems like Deming, St. Patrick, Augusta and Bracken County play each other like five times per season. From two regular season meetings, to the Mason County Invitational, to the All "A" Region, to the district tournament! There isn't anything wrong with it, but it seems like they are always paired.

I'm curious Butterfly about what you think the outcome would be if these coaches did switch.??
