KHSAA Scoring Leader
Ferguson had 17 points in the 4th quarter when game was out of reach. I am not taking anything away from the kid, but I am realistic to the point, that he did not score 27 on D. Miller.

KHSAA Scoring Leader
Fergurson is a great player without a doubt, but to say he is 6'2", well that would make Darius about 6'9". Darius size hurt Ferg on the perimeter as it was hard for him to get open looks. I was looking for him to pull from 30plus feet on several occassions because Miller was not around. Ferg is a legit 6 footer, like the Faulkner twins, they have a very nice team, hope they advance to the Sweet 16.

40th District Predictions
I have to give credit to Mason's defense for Paris shots not falling. Mason County defense forced Paris to shoot 25% from the field, forced them to shoot from the outside long range and Paris defense was not great in this game as they allowed 60 points.

Montgomery and Paris in the district finals is my prediction.

Flagrant foul on the tip.

Lewis Co. 78 St. Pat 69
This is the silliest thing I have ever heard unless it happened which it didn't. Did I hear on the radio that the Saints were outscored 30-14 over the first 9 minutes of the second half? Might this explain why Lewis County won?

Scotty Hopson
Hopson is a great talent, and I don't mean to take much away from the guy, but a McDonalds All American might be stretching it a little much.

Mason County 60 Paris 41
Mason County goes on the road and spoils senior night for the Lady Hounds and beats a very good Paris team handily to pick up their 20th win of the season. Very few teams score 60 points on Paris and that is a credit to the Lady Hounds, they do a very good job of making you play their game and are a very good defensive team. Something that doesn't get talked about is Mason County over the past couple of games and the defense they have played. Score was 22-20 Mason to start the 3rd quarter and the Lady Royals held Paris to 5 points in the 3rd quarter and 21 for the second half. Masons on the ball defense has been the best ever the past couple of games. Forced Paris to shoot 25% from the field for the game, some pretty good defense on a very quick team who can play the D as well. Mason was able to score 60 and their offense came from their defense. Great job girls and best of luck in the post season:thumb:

Big Crowd in Maysville
Gold, you weren't a GRC fan when the Cards won the region prior to last years regional crown?
-
Bracken County 61 Williamstown 46
But Devilman, they gave your town a two page layout on winning the Freshmen Regional Tournament. I know why they missed this past time on your historical night.....Pee Wee didn't give Chuck anymore gas money to Mt. Olivet. Note: He did all the All A tournament from Deming, got some of the best hospitality food the region brings, did an article on Pee Wee and Pee Wee's son, all in one weeks time. He is probably boycotting Mt. Olivet because being snubbed on the invite to celebrate with the 15 folks that went out to eat after the freshmen regional tournament celebration:laugh:

This is absolutely terrible news for this young lady and for her school. I am sorry to hear about this, Ms. Webber, keep your head high, stay tough mentally and I hope for a speedy recovery.

Mason Co 96 Harrison Co 68
Cicadas dream as well during their 17 years and they were the GRC that emerged 17 years last year. 1990-2007, a whole lot of dreaming, and yes dreams do come true despite how long it takes.

39th District draw
There was 2 separate draws I heard that was held today, one for the boys and one for the girls. In the past, the boys and girls combined the draws and played girls/boy double headers. Today that was voted down and St. Patrick boys got the short end of the stick. If things were left alone like the past, they get Bracken. The beauty of the blind draw is the only way for this district.

Robin has a chance to triple A-Town to the regional tournament again!

39th District
What games remain for each of these teams prior to playing the district. I know Mason has Harrison tonight and Paris on Monday. What does St. Patrick, Augusta, and Bracken have left?
-
39th District
My prediction is Mason County and Bracken County will play for the district title. Bracken County and St. Patrick will hook up for the third time with St. Patrick taking the first two meetings. Bracken gets the one that counts, Coach Kelsch(I guess he will be the lead coach) will have these girls geared for this game.

39th District draw
St. Patrick could not have gotten a worse draw and for Anderson and Owens, 4 years potentially without playing in a regional tournament would be a injustice to a couple of great players. Best of luck to all teams.

Mason Freshman
The Mason County freshman team captured the 10th region title with a 49 to 38 victory over Campbell County. The Royals (20-1) won 20 consecutive games to close out the season after losing to Lex Cath in their opening game. Neal Pawsat led the Royals with 19 points, he was followed in double figures by Jordan Gilbert and Treg Setty with 10 points apiece. COngratulations to a fine season, as well as good kids.

St. Patrick 59 Deming 37
St. Patrick plays the spoiler in Deming land as they deflated the high the Robertson Countians have been on with their girls freshmen regional crown. Everything returns to normal in time for tournament time for ladies.

Pendleton County at Campbell County 2/15
Too much defense and the big fellow in the middle for the Camels should have a field day. I will take Cambell by 25 plus. Season continues to slide for the young Wildcats, but hang in guys, a new season is just around the corner.

10th Region Hall of Fame
Anyone have any information on who we can expect to see in the 2008 class to be introduced come regional tournament time? What schools sent in nominations?
