Yes. Intramural bowling is not part of the interscholastic teams. In fact, intramurals is finishing up its season and the interscholastic season is just getting under way. Each match between schools is playing for 7 points. So, with that record of 20 - 1, it is saying that CCH team won seven points from 2 schools, and then went 6-1 against another school. I know they lost the baker game last week for the one point, and I think it was to ryle, but could be wrong.

You should come watch the JV guys play! They are a very exciting team to watch. Maschinot rolled his ankle at the end of the Mason game so he did not get to play but a minute in varisty which would have been his first chance to play with the big boys. Hopefully he will be ready to go against Connor tomorrow. As for comments regarding Brett being the stronger PG, again, I am a fan of both of these guys. I am just trying to figure out then if that is what all the experts on here think, then why do the coaches play Maschinot then so much over Riedinger? As for getting stronger, I am sure Coach L will be having both of them work hard in the weight room. Also, Maschinot will hopefully play this summer as this past one he did not do one basketball activity as he had some health issues after the track season.

I totally agree with what you are saying about Austin. Kinda funny as in grade school he was one of the taller kids. I enjoy watching him improve every game. I disagree though that Broering ran the point in grade school. Robby would run the point some, but coachs have always had Connor run the point. I am curious though, and this is not a knock on Riedinger, as I am a fan of his, but what makes him a better PG than Maschinot? I too am a fan of all of them and have enjoyed watching them all since they were in the 2nd grade. I think with the speed and athleticism of this group, if they continue to work hard, they will continue to beat a lot of good teams in the future

So whenever a team scores points on fast breaks, hits open shots, makes good passes ro open men, has more assists then turnovers, runs the floor every play, attacks the basket, it is because they are playing a team that does not play good defense, not because they are a good offensive team? Also, were you at the Mason or Lex Cath game? You do not think they had solid PG play in those games?

Were you at the Mason or Lex Cath JV game? You do not think they have a PG in #4 - Maschinot? Just curious what more you would expect him to do as PG

Maybe things will change with the success the JV team is having so far this year. They do not play offense like this. So far they have beaten three pretty good teams by an 10 -12 pts each(Lex Cath, Mason and Elder)

Whoever is the coach next year, and the next couple years will have the big benefit that was started this year with the middle school program which was started this year. Probably not much benefit next year, but the years after that should see it.

Just a question, why with his size is he not playing then at least at the JV level? I seem to remember Holmes freshmen struggling last year, so I would have thought that this kid should be able to at least play JV.

Here is what I have: VARSITY 10:30 St.Henry vs. Scott 12:15 Dayton vs. Silver Grove 2:00 Lloyd vs. Brossart 3:45 Beechwood vs. Cooper 5:30 Russell vs. Holy Cross 7:15 Dixie vs. Oak Hill 9:00 Cov Cath vs. Simon JV games are at the same time between the same teams, except for Dayton vs. Silver Grove for which there is no JV game.

To me - this is easy - Did you watch volleyball in the olympics? All I can say is dang those are some fine athletes!

I really enjoy boys volleyball, and hope it works, but seems like the season prevents the track, baseball and lacrosse guys from playing. Might not be enough athletes.

There are a number of good players in the sophomore class as well

I hope this is true - CCH would be able to field a very strong team based on how well the feeder schools do with their boys teams. When would the season run? (which sports would conflict)

Wow didn't you ever think that people are not interested in all the same things? There are probably as many people interested in things like this as there are so many of the other threads. I mean, I am sure there are many of us from Northern Ky who are 'uninterested' in lots of threads about things happening at schools hours and hours away from us, and no one complains about those. Lighten up, and only read the threads you are interested in!

I do not know of any boys who did not play this past year as you have heard. There of course are some who did not make the team who may think they were better players than some who were kept. That of course happens everywhere though.
