Carroll was down by 4 with the ball around the 4:30 min mark in the final period. Owen did a great job at the free throw line. I bet they didn't miss more then 1 or 2 in the fourth. Owen has good balance, the big kid in the middle blocked or altered shots all night. I look forward to the Owen vs Gallatin game.

It is difficult to say no to changing the name without sounding insensitive. I have heard it called Kamikaze's and Lakers. Not sure where Lakers comes from.

Creole...this is off topic but I have noticed that there aren't very many Owen Co. Posters on here. Any idea why that might be.

Thanks 24, I am surprised that SO is off to such a rough start. I saw them 3 or 4 times last year and was impressed with their team play and defense. Their schedule so far has been pretty tough. I expect they will pull it together by tourney time.:thumb:

Each have played the exact same schedule so far. Owen is 2-0 Carroll is 1-1. Carroll will need to play team ball, limit their turnovers and keep their emotions in check to win this one. If Owen gets out in front early Carroll will have to show patience and stay together. I think Carroll will step up and answer the call!! Carroll by 2

This was somewhat suprising to me. Last year in their first meeting Shelby won 50 - 48. SO has everyone back and Shelby lost 2 or 3 starters. I expected Shelby to be down this year. :jump:

This has the makings of a good game. If Carroll can apply pressure without fouling then they have a good chance. Free throws will be a big part of this game. Keys to the game for Carroll: Defend without fouling Pressure the ball and stop dribble penetration Limit second chance points Shoot 65% or better from the FT line Hit 6 or 7 three pointers I would have to think Shelby should be favored by 7 or 8. With that said I would take Carroll and the points:jump:

I saw North Oldham play in a scrimmage, they have a really good point guard and some size in the middle. They had trouble taking care of the ball. This should be a close game. I have to give the nod to the home team.

Our thoughts and prayers are with these kids and their families.
