Another surprise! Played at South Oldham. Anyone know about this one? South Oldham is 1-2 & has Highlands up next.

This is a surprise, North Bullitt is usually a pretty good team but I thought South Oldham was going to be one of the best in the area. Does anyone know if SO has players out?:jump:

Thast not a surprise to anyone that knows Girls basketball. North Bullitt's girls have started since they were freshman and 8th graders and this is the year they have been looking forward to for a few years now. They are a top 3-4 team in the 6th region.

SO has a reputation for being a strong contender & in the preseason as possibly coming out on top in the 8th. Their 2nd loss of the season was the surprise. No offense to NB. I saw NB at a preseason scrimmage & was very impressed, especially with the guards. The 6th region teams may not be as familiar to some of us in other regions. How about revising the statement to "that's not a surprise to anyone that knows girls basketball in the 6th region"?? I know Iroquois is a powerhouse in the 6th & NBullitt has a big game with Fairdale coming up for them in the region. Good luck to NB! Well done against S Oldham.

Some folks scouting the game told me that all were present & playing.

I am surprised that SO is off to such a rough start. I saw them 3 or 4 times last year and was impressed with their team play and defense. Their schedule so far has been pretty tough. I expect they will pull it together by tourney time.:thumb:

North Bullitt beat South twice last year so for them to win again comes as no surprise. Their post play - both offensively and defensively was superior to Souths eventhough they were outsized by several inches. One note, South also got off to a slow start last year and at one point was 9-9 before going on a late season run of 10-2 to finish up 19-11. So I would not count them out - it is how you are playing in March that really matters.

 

Both games they have lost -were very winnable - they just are not playing well. Highlands is a tough one on Saturday so they may very well be 1-3.

 

I would give NB credit though, they are a very nice team that plays together and looks for eachother and are very well coached. He has worked for years to get them where they are and hopefully, they will continue to have successes throughout the rest of their season.

North Bullitt is a solid team, no doubt about it. South Oldham has all the parts but just had a bad game. South did not go to the region final last year by luck.
