  1. If the WV team that played the second half against OC shows up for this game then Anderson better be on their game. I think Anderson is much better then they showed Monday and would expect them to win. Anderson by 15.
  2. SK is an impressive team with many weapons. Their next game will be tough but I expect they will win Friday night against South Oldham. If Anderson can take care of business on Friday as well then it will be a great match-up Saturday in the Championship. I have followed Carroll County throughout the year and I can tell ya these young ladies are fun to watch. They play with great team effort and toughness. If this team works hard this summer then I won't be suprised if they win 20 games next year. Congrats on a fine year!
  3. Carroll's defense really picked up the second half. They cut a 9 point half time lead to 3 at the end of the third quarter. It seemed as though everytime CC needed a stop they got it. They also had very balanced scoring with four girls in double figures. Girdy fouled out with about 2:30 left in the game. The team pulled together and showed a lot of toughness. Walton had the ball out of bounds under their basket with 5 seconds left and Carroll took away their first two options and forced a tie up and then a turnover. Carroll Scoring: Girdy 17, Wallace 12, Devine 11, Curry 10, Henderson 6, Osbourne 6. Walton Scoring: Hargett 16, Sargent 16, Heeger 14, Dixon 8, Cheesman 4, Bowling 2 Carroll took sole possesion of the NCKC Championship this was a great win for CC heading into districts
  4. This is a great point. There is so much emphasis placed on scoring that it is important to show the other aspects of the game. Unfortunately people that don't understand the game think that scoring is the only meaningful part of the game. One should not assume that keeping individual stats is going against the team concept when in fact it helps to place emphasis on the non scoring part of being a good team contributor.
  5. Coach Mefford did a great job with Senior night. He even recognized and gave flowers to the two Seniors from Williamstown
  6. If Trimble can return to their All A form they can pull this one out. I think Walton will be looking for some revenge though. WV 49 TC 32
  7. Did Osborne play in this one? If not does anyone know when she might be back?
  8. Sorry this should have been on the Eminence VS Carroll Co thread. I think she is a 10th grader
  9. Did Osborne play in this one? If not does anyone know when she might be back?
  10. Great job Lady Panthers. When is the JV district tourney
  11. What number is Workman? If she is no. 22 then she did play.
  12. Hard working ball player, she still has a year to add to that total. I have a feeling some of the close games that Williamstown has lost this year will be wins next year.
  13. Sounds like Grant may have been hit by the injury bug. I'll take Walton in this one. Maybe a win here will take some of the heat off of the coach.
  14. Hopefully the long ride to Spencer won't effect the Panthers. Give me CC by 7.
  15. Ryle has to many weapons for the young Wildcats. Unfortunately this will be a long night for GC
  16. WV should be able to win this one by double digits. WV needs to be careful of a let down after beating Carroll for the first time in the last 6 games. I look for WV to really push the ball. WV 52 TC 40
  17. I thought this was the difference in the game: Krahl 17 Ginn 9 Cheesman 8 Krahl really impressed me. She hustled and attacked the basket great. She really adds some toughness that this WV team has been lacking in the past. If they take care of business Friday and Saturday they can win at least one in Richmond.:thumb:
  18. Carroll's interior defense and pressure on the ball will be the key. If they can force WV to play half court offense then they have an excellent chance to win this game.
  19. Carroll plays this one tough but comes up 3 points short. GC 59 CC 56:cool:
