WV had the lead at half 21 to 18 Dixon had 11 of their points. Carroll did a much better job on the defensive end and rebounded much better in the second half. Dixon was held to four points in the second. Carroll was led in scoring by Soph. Curry, she had 7 in each half but had to sit for two min in the fourth qtr when she picked up her 4th foul with 7 min to go. Devine and Osborne pulled down some big rebounds in the second half. Wallace and Henderson were able to force the young Bearcats into some costly turnovers. Brindley hit a big shot in the lane to extend Carroll's lead to 4 late. Despite missing some free throws late Carroll did a good job of not giving WV and open look in the final seconds.
Carroll's Coach did a good job making adjustments at half time and it didn't take long to realize that WV made the right choice on their new Coach.
Will Owen's Gayheart have back to back 30+ nights and take her team to victory or will North Oldham bounce back from their opening game loss and win this one at home?
This surprises me a little. I expected the Demons to really pressure the perimeter and really be up on Gayheart in this game. Does anyone have any details of how this game played out.
Trimble showed they have some good players and when their experience catches up with their talent they will be tough.
Carroll played good defense in the post and pressuring the perimeter.
Does anyone have the stats on this game? I'm curious to know the rebound margin and the turnover margin.
My observations come from watching Stith play against some of these players and she was the better player on the court. She is very good on both ends of the court.
Does anyone have any insight on Owen, Henry, Trimble, Carroll and Gallatin. Owen and Trimble lost most of their scoring last year and will look completely different. Henry should have the same team mostly and Gallatin seemed to struggle last year. Carroll lost their point guard and could struggle if they don't find someone to fill that spot.
