Did Williams (#12) get into foul trouble? She blocks a lot of shots but has been able to avoid foul trouble most of the time.

How was this game called?

If you are basing your assessment on losses to LCA and Dunbar then there are a lot of week regions in the state.

On paper Carroll should win this one convincingly, but this is high school basketball and anything can happen. If Henry gets hot from the outside and can limit turnovers they have a very good chance to win. Carroll needs this win to gear up for a tough draw in the all A. Carroll Co. 57 Henry Co. 45

WV should be the hands down favorite to represent the 8th in Richmond this year.

I would have to think that long nails (real or fake) would be more likely to hurt another player than a bobby pin. Yet the officials seem more concerned about hair and shirt tails.

Meade has good size inside and can put a lot of pressure on the perimeter. They also have good depth.

This is their first meeting of the year. Should be a good game. Carroll 49 - 40

I haven't been watching girls basketball long enough to know if foot work and pivoting skills have declined. But I have noticed that when someone takes the time to work on these two skills it really improves there ability to score around the basket. No matter how big they are. On the traveling issue it seems that the officials do let it slide sometimes especially if there is contact with an opposing player.

Gallatin will most likely play a zone and try to dictate the tempo. Carroll should be able to score off of their press. There should be a big crowd for this one and both teams better come ready to play. Carroll 52 - 44

I hear that Gallatin is relying heavily on a couple of freshman this year. Sorry I don't know their names.

Can Trimble get their first win at a very tough place to play?

Owen should win this one. I think it will be less than 6 points. This has the potential to be a very :fight: competitive game :fight: that may go down to the wire. It will be interesting to see how Henry defends the middle.
